The rooms recall, in the name, the four elements that bring together the natural order of things: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. With them a fifth unique location, the Tower, located inside an ancient defensive bulwark that stands at the center of the village. Spending a holiday here means enjoying a romantic dip in the past.

From the windows of the spacious Aria apartment, on the first floor of the large farmhouse, you can instead admire one of the most beautiful landscapes of central Italy. Under the large portico of the Acqua apartment, you can fall in love with the beautiful panorama of pristine hills that are reflected in the water of the large outdoor pool. In the Terra location an antique fireplace will be waiting for you and, together, a large living room to let you breathe the warmth of an authentic old Tuscan house. Finally, the Fire, in the cool summer evenings, will light up to pamper guests and warm them up while waiting for breakfast with typical products in the splendid outdoor veranda.

Along with the pool, the guests of Villa Storie di Borgo Umbria also have access to a tennis court and outdoor spaces where they can enjoy pleasant moments of the day. The owners, Nadia and Giuliano, will be a discreet presence useful for planning excursions in the area. From here you can easily reach many centers such as Assisi, Gubbio, Arezzo but also wonderful villages such as Monterchi, a village perched in the center of a beautiful plain, Anghiari, a village at the center of the Teverne and Arno rivers.

About the Location

Italy, Umbria, Perugia

Perugia is a beautiful medieval city in Umbria, rich in history and art, and its surroundings include evident elements of the Etruscan and the Roman civilizations. The modern part of town is dominated by the presence of its prestigious university which creates a pleasant buzz. There are interesting attractions and a vibrant day scene as well as nightlife with great restaurants and nightspots that make it a very lively place. The historical center displays labyrinth alleys, beautiful arched stairways, and piazzas framed by magnificent palazzi. Its location is offered for daily excursions to places such as Assisi, Spello, and Gubbio. Perugia is just a couple of hours drive north of Rome.

Important sights in the city include the Etrurian Well that is not only a historical site, but is today still the main water source in the city. Besides the well, there are many Etrurian tombs. The 'artistic' center of Perugia revolves around Piazza IV Novembre, where still stands part of the walls that once belonged to the Etruscan city and were accessed using the ancient gates such as the Porta della Mandorla, Porta Marzia and Porta Trasimeno. Other sights of religious importance are the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Basilica of San Domenico and San Pietro church.

Umbria is a famous region of Central Italy crossed by the beautiful River Tiber. Well known for its old cathedral churches and beautiful villages. It is a less traveled region in Central Italy with many advantages over Tuscany. It is the smallest region in Italy and it doesn’t have a coastline or border with another country. It is an ideal country for those who want to experience Italian art, history, culture and cuisine.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
