REVIEW SCORE

At the foot of a century-old oak forest, where in summer you can enjoy a pleasant coolness, Villa Federica Umbria is a perfectly restored old farmhouse dating back to the 19th century which is immersed in the countryside of Città di Castello, one of the most well-known villages on the border between Umbria, the green heart region of Italy, and Tuscany.

The house can accommodate up to 18 people in different accommodation with 6 queen beds, 2 single beds, and a half and 4 single beds. The property covers more than 500 square meters and offers abundant spaces in all conditions for groups of friends or large families who can thus find themselves even among multiple groups. Then the outdoor spaces are infinite. Villa Federica is a noble refuge that allows you to live in close contact with nature. The restoration has been able to preserve its original beauty: sandstone and wood, mixed with the bricks of the floors, the exposed beams, with shades that blend with the surrounding environment with which the structure lives in harmonious silence.

A few steps from the entrance, a garden with a swimming pool will brighten your stay. You can dive into the water or you can treat yourself to sunbathing along with healthy walks. In the area, there are several attractions. For outdoor sports enthusiasts, you will be spoiled for choice but in the surrounding area, among the many offers, we also suggest you visit a museum and a former tobacco drying room. Not far from here also the Medici fortress of Girifalco, the lakes of Faldo, and many medieval villages that have made the whole area famous.

About the Location

Italy, Umbria, Perugia

Perugia is a beautiful medieval city in Umbria, rich in history and art, and its surroundings include evident elements of the Etruscan and the Roman civilizations. The modern part of town is dominated by the presence of its prestigious university which creates a pleasant buzz. There are interesting attractions and a vibrant day scene as well as nightlife with great restaurants and nightspots that make it a very lively place. The historical center displays labyrinth alleys, beautiful arched stairways, and piazzas framed by magnificent palazzi. Its location is offered for daily excursions to places such as Assisi, Spello, and Gubbio. Perugia is just a couple of hours drive north of Rome.

Important sights in the city include the Etrurian Well that is not only a historical site, but is today still the main water source in the city. Besides the well, there are many Etrurian tombs. The 'artistic' center of Perugia revolves around Piazza IV Novembre, where still stands part of the walls that once belonged to the Etruscan city and were accessed using the ancient gates such as the Porta della Mandorla, Porta Marzia and Porta Trasimeno. Other sights of religious importance are the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Basilica of San Domenico and San Pietro church.

Umbria is a famous region of Central Italy crossed by the beautiful River Tiber. Well known for its old cathedral churches and beautiful villages. It is a less traveled region in Central Italy with many advantages over Tuscany. It is the smallest region in Italy and it doesn’t have a coastline or border with another country. It is an ideal country for those who want to experience Italian art, history, culture and cuisine.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
