Giannoudi is a village located approximately 7km southeast of Rethymno city. The traditional settlement is built in an altitude of 110m and today it hosts approximately 100 permanent residents. One of the main and most emblematic sites of Giannoudi is found at the entrance of the village and is an imposing three-story tower that has been declared as a classified monument of the area. This tower probably used to be a fortified residence for some Venetian rulers of the era. The village has a picturesque and quiet character, ideal for a relaxing holiday in a secluded paradise.

This is an incredible villa which worked perfectly for our group. The large kitchen/dinner/social space opened up on to the balcony which makes it a great sociable villa. The views are amazing, and having the option of the indoor pool to be heated was perfect for us. There are gates by the stairs to the outdoor pool which was helpful to stop the young children in our group going near the pool unsupervised. Each bedroom was en suite and all the rooms were all spotlessly clean... So much so that my friend crawled into a glass door on arrival when testing the indoor pool water temperature!
The villa was beautiful, clean and spacious with stunning grounds and a gorgeous pool. The space inside was very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all amenities. While the location is a bit remote and a 15 mins drive to the center of Rethymno, it was extremely safe and very peaceful and lots of bakeries and supermarkets are close by. Communication with the host was very easy and they came to clean the space a couple of times during our stay which was very helpful. One issue that we encountered was limited internet. The host reset the router a few times which helped a bit but we wish that could have been smoother during our stay. Overall we had a lovely stay and recommend this home for a large group.

We had an amazing time! The house exceeded our expectations. We had 12 people in our group, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house and the property were beautiful! The house was incredibly clean, modern, and spacious. Emmanouela was very responsive and extremely helpful. She assisted us with dinner reservations and even compiled a list of beautiful beaches and other places to visit. Her mom made a delicious meal for all of us to enjoy, which was an amazing surprise! We would LOVE to stay here again! Thank you again for making our vacation fantastic with your gracious hospitality!

What a wonderful villa! When we arrived we were so happy and it was perfect for a family group of 9 - three generations including four children aged 10-15. Each room has an ensuite and is a good size and beautifully decorated. The living area is fantastic with two connected sitting areas and a big well equipped kitchen. The indoor pool is a wonderful added bonus which the kids loved. The outdoor pool was so much fun with wonderful views and the garden had a lovely outdoor seating area with a bbq and pizza oven. In the gardens is a small lemon grove from which we picked lemons to make lemonade.
Emmanouela is also a wonderful host and responded to all our questions immediately and was very helpful across the stay. We felt very well looked after.
It is also a 5m drive to the beach and 10m to rethimno so super easy to get around and get to local shops. All in all a wonderful villa - top notch.
Our stay was perfect from booking, during our stay and until check-out. The view from the villa is stunning, the rooms are perfect, the house and garden is very beautiful and the area is perfect for day trips or shorter trips. Also the villa is cleaned very frequently so we never had to worry about spending our day with something else than vacation :) The kids had fun in the indoor and the outdoor pools. It was always a please to relax with some chilly drinks in the sun or have a nice dinner in the evening at the bbq place.

We traveled with three families and children between 3 and 13 years old and all of them got their money's worth in the house. The heated indoor pool was the highlight, but the kitchen, bedrooms and table tennis table were also just great.

Fantastic Villa, we had 10 adults in our group and it was perfect. Both the inside and outside areas were fantastic we particularly enjoyed the outside kitchen/dining area and the fantastic pool.
The location is ideal, just an hour from Heraklion airport and a 10 minute drive into the centre of Rethymno and well placed for exploring the whole island.
