Adele, Rethymno is located on the north coast of Rethymno and is a long strip of sand that extends for about 20 km. Adelianos Kampos is a beautiful beach that covers a big part of the coast, about 5km, and is one of the most popular places of Rethymno with tourists and especially families. Adele beach boasts soft sand mixed with pebbles and is ideal for long walks, where you can easily find a more secluded area or choose the more organized part in front of the taverns and bars lined up on the shore. Around the village which is very close to the beach, you will find shops with artworks, souvenirs, etc. Adele can be reached by public bus from Rethymno as well as Heraklion. Platenes village nearby offers a more lively experience with water sports, vibrant bars, golf parks, and excellent taverns.
