About the Location

Italy, Sicily, Giarre

The town of Giarre is strategically located between Catania and Taormina, as well as between Mt. Etna and the Ionian Sea. It is located uplands, but its long, straight Corso Italia runs directly to the sea at Riposto. It is a location where you can see the Parco dell'etna, Greek ruins, and beaches. The Aquarium and the Mother Church, dedicated to Sant'Isidoro Agricola and constructed with three naves and a Latin cross plan, are the village's most significant monuments. The interior features various paintings by well-known Sicilian painters from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, including Pietro Paolo Vasta.

The town has a number of parks, some of which have splashy fountains. Of course, Giarre is close to sandy beaches where you can relax and enjoy the water. Giarre has gotten a lot of attention because of its abandoned buildings and facilities, which were started with public funds in the 1990s but never used. A few have been adapted to other applications, such as a multi-story parking garage. A perfect location that has everything you need to.

Sicily is the largest of the Italian islands, separated from the Continent by the Strait of Messina and washed by the Ionian, the Tyrrhenian, and the Mediterranean Seas. It is a true gem of Southern Italy and is a place with abundant nature and rich history and traditions along with outstanding architecture. Nature here seems to have embraced all its versions: mountains, hills, and above all the most magnificent azure sea, with its crystal-clear water and the impeccable beauty of its colorful seabed. Sicily also involves three volcanos, with the most famous being Etna which adds one more color to the unique palette of this mythical island.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
