REVIEW SCORE

At the foot of the majestic abbey of Sant’Antino, of which it has shared the various vicissitudes in history, Villa Molino is built in what was an old mill rebuilt in 1600 and then completely restored in the 1990s.

About the Location

Italy, Tuscany, Siena Area

The Siena area is the scenic countryside that surrounds the city of Siena, with a charm of the past evident in the clay valleys, the endless rows of vineyards, and stunning rolling hills dotted with century-old olive trees.

Siena is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. World-famous Piazza del Campo, Torre del Mangia, and the Cathedral are gems that leave visitors breathless. It’s a city with a strong identity and character, where traditions do not belong to dusty history books but are still alive, just like the Palio horse race.

Siena enchants its visitors with its landscape beauty as well as architecture, impeccable beauty shrines, churches, and quaint villages, as well as streams flowing through woodland and countless trails surrounded by greenery and nature reserves, such as the ones located along the river Merse, make this place irresistible no matter what you are looking for. Enjoy a relaxing spa experience at the famous Terme di Petriolo, in Monticiano, or at Rapolano, visit the Cistercian San Galgano Abbey, in Chiusdino. There’s also Asciano, where the Monte Oliveto Maggiore Monastery is an interesting spiritual destination. Medieval towns like Buonconvento and Monteroni d’Arbia stand near the rugged ravines, as well as Etruscan villages such as Murlo and Sovicille.

The city of Siena also starred in the James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. Legend has it that Siena was founded by Senius, son of Remus, one of the two founders of Rome thus Siena's emblem is the she-wolf who suckled Remus and Romulus.

Tuscany is a place like nowhere else in the world; this is the reason why this region is at the tops bucket lists all over the globe. Amazing landscapes, beautiful hilltop towns and the fantastic capital city of Florence charm everyone who decides to visit it. It is a majestic region with almost half of the artistic heritage of Italy and fantastic landscapes. Due to its mild weather, you could visit Tuscany all year round. It’s a region with exceptional art towns and hilltop villages and with a heritage of a glorious past with unspoiled nature, spectacular sea coast, and beautiful islands. Here you will taste some of the best wine varieties and then you can relax to one of its thermal spas.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
