Villa Tuscania Valdorcia is located on top of a hill with a privileged view of the two main valleys. The farmhouse is built in ancient stone and has been completely renovated. Internally the rooms are frescoed with spectacular paintings that give the environment a unique flavor, linked to the bucolic tradition.

The interiors are carefully refined, and each area is furnished with taste and style. The living area is characterized by beautiful exposed beams and allows access to a cozy lounge where you can spend evenings in cheerful company. The kitchen is functional and very welcoming characterized by a rustic style almost from another era. Villa Tuscania Valdorcia has five bedrooms on the three floors of the building. From the living area, a spectacular wooden staircase of modern design gives access to beautiful bedrooms each of them frescoed with bucolic style paintings.

Each room has a private bathroom with a modern and elegant design but at the same time with rustic style details. The villa can accommodate a maximum of eleven people. The villa has direct access to a large garden with relaxing areas and a porch to offer the guest an outdoor living area with breathtaking views. From the garden, through a small path, guests can access a wonderful infinity pool equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas to fully enjoy the natural wonders offered by the landscape.

Outside the villa, you can find a beautiful pergola with tables and chairs to enjoy the cool breezes of the Tuscan countryside on summer evenings. Villa Tuscania can be considered a real gem in the heart of Val D’Orcia. Within walking distance, guests can visit the characteristic Radicofani mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy and by Boccaccio in the Decameron.

About the Location

Italy, Tuscany, Val d'Orcia

Valdorcia is a region of Tuscany which extends along the provinces of Siena and Grosseto. Typically Tuscan landscape, Valdorcia is as scenic and untouched as it gets, featuring endless rolling hills covered with grain or sunflowers, a rich green valley which encompasses the Orcia river, from where the name of the region derives.  Miles and miles of vineyards produce the renowned wines of Brunello and the newer Val d’Orcia DOC. Valdorcia is protected as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Time seems to slow down for picturesque towns like Pienza, a true gem known as the "Ideal City" with the beautiful Palazzo Piccolomini, or the little town of Castiglion d'Orcia with its beautiful fortress. The hilltop town of Radicofani with its imposing castle tower will leave no visitor indifferent. To the west, towards the walled medieval city of Montalcino, you will also find the vineyards of Brunello. A must-see is the beautiful Romanesque Abbey of Sant' Antimo, one of the best examples of medieval monastic architecture.

Valdorcia except for museums, ancient abbeys, and castles, is known for its therapeutic thermal baths of the region, such as the ones in Bagno Vignoni or in Bagni di San Filippo.

This region has great production of high-quality local products such as the "pecorino" cheese of Pienza, premium quality olive oil and wine as well as saffron, mushrooms, chestnuts, truffles and more.

A vacation in Valdorcia will address most of your senses, taking you for a special journey of sweet tastes and marvelous panoramas that will be imprinted on your memory. This is one of the most postcard-perfect areas of Tuscany.

Tuscany is a place like nowhere else in the world; this is the reason why this region is at the tops bucket lists all over the globe. Amazing landscapes, beautiful hilltop towns and the fantastic capital city of Florence charm everyone who decides to visit it. It is a majestic region with almost half of the artistic heritage of Italy and fantastic landscapes. Due to its mild weather, you could visit Tuscany all year round. It’s a region with exceptional art towns and hilltop villages and with a heritage of a glorious past with unspoiled nature, spectacular sea coast, and beautiful islands. Here you will taste some of the best wine varieties and then you can relax to one of its thermal spas.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
