REVIEW SCORE

At Villa Diana, you will find all this wrapped in the typical Tuscan style. Refined and elegant enough, discreet, and comfortable as needed. This is a place of wonders, where the senses are amplified by nature in a villa of unique charm surrounded by over 2 hectares of land, completely fenced, and a park where ancient cypresses, olive groves, and, together, many fruit trees live together.

All around the villa, there is a large garden with cedars of Lebanon, many flowers, and a rectangular-shaped swimming pool 8x4m and 1.2 to 2.1 meters in depth facing a large terrace with garden furniture, tables, and chairs. Here you can sit for lunch and dinner, stop for a cocktail or an aperitif, sit comfortably reading a book, or have a chat. The world will stop to make you live a well-deserved relaxation break alone, with family, or with friends.

A large outdoor courtyard will welcome you to Villa Diana before inviting you to sit in a large living room characterized by four communicating areas delimited by four brick and stone arches, with a large open fireplace, sofa and armchairs, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo, reading area, and a large dining table. The professionally equipped kitchen is characterized by a large central work area with a large hob and two ovens. The large crescent windows that look outwards are beautiful, capable of bringing spectacular plays of light into the house at any time of day.

On the ground floor, there is also a bathroom with a shower and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. A staircase leads to the first floor where you will find a second sitting room with fireplace and satellite TV, a study, 2 twin bedrooms which share a bathroom with a shower, 2 double bedrooms one with a bathroom with a shower, another bedroom with a bathroom with a tub, 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with tub.

Always connected internally you reach the ancient medieval tower, furnished as a welcoming double room, whose windows on three sides offer a unique view of the surrounding area. The villa, in fact, is located on the top of a hill from which you can see, not far away, the crags of the Valdarno, prehistoric clay boulders that the passage of time has changed in their original form.

The outdoor spaces are all to be experienced, especially the large veranda which can also be accessed from the kitchen. Always outside there is also an oven and a barbecue area. Exposed stones and bricks make the walls of the house warm and welcoming. The furnishings are original with refined and refined details in all the rooms. Villa Diana can comfortably accommodate 12 guests in its 6 double bedrooms served by 5 bathrooms. The structure is suitable for large families and groups. Its location is ideal for reaching the cities of Arezzo, Florence, and Siena in less than an hour’s drive. In the surrounding area, however, you can discover many villages that have always made Tuscany a truly authentic region.

About the Location

Italy, Tuscany, Arezzo Area

Arezzo is located in southeastern Tuscany at the crossroads of four valleys: the Val Tiberina, Casentino, Valdarno, and Valdichiana. This place played an important role in the history of Tuscany and has many artifacts to display. The ancient origins of the city are verified by the stone tools and the so-called Man of the Elm who was discovered here, dating back to the Paleolithic era. The original foundation of the city was Etruscan dating back to the 9th century B.C.

Today Arezzo boasts a wide range of sites to see including fortresses, monuments, churches, and museums that will take its visitors back in time. The benchmark of the city is the Church of San Francesco with the incredible Early Renaissance fresco by Piero Della Francesca depicting the Legend of the True Cross. Have an espresso at the impressive Piazza Grande, where they also hold a jousting matching twice a year, and don’t miss the Medicean Fortress. Visit the Cathedral dedicated to San Donato, as well as the Church of San Domenico with the wooden Crucifix by Cimabue.

Arezzo may not be in the first line of options while thinking of traveling to Tuscany yet it is a hidden gem that will provide its guests with an authentic view of a typical city of the region which has managed to maintain its traditions, its architecture, and its charm. It is believed that the Ponte in Mona Lisa's painting depicts that of Arezzo. Conveniently located, Arezzo offers opportunities for exploration in nearby cities such as Cortona, Anghiari, and Poppi.

Tuscany is a place like nowhere else in the world; this is the reason why this region is at the tops bucket lists all over the globe. Amazing landscapes, beautiful hilltop towns and the fantastic capital city of Florence charm everyone who decides to visit it. It is a majestic region with almost half of the artistic heritage of Italy and fantastic landscapes. Due to its mild weather, you could visit Tuscany all year round. It’s a region with exceptional art towns and hilltop villages and with a heritage of a glorious past with unspoiled nature, spectacular sea coast, and beautiful islands. Here you will taste some of the best wine varieties and then you can relax to one of its thermal spas.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
