Stavromenos in Rethymno is a small settlement of the sandy beach which is located 11km from Rethymno. It belongs to Geropotamos which combines mountains and sea in a beautiful frame and it comprises one of the most historically important monuments, the Cave of Melidoni. Stavromenos is a fully organized beach ideal for families and those who wish to spend a relaxing vacation away from overly developed tourist resorts. The sea turtles "Caretta Caretta" find refuge in Stavromenos beach during their nesting season. In proximity to Stavromenos, there is a great variety of sandy beaches to venture to.

Everything you could possibly need is there, including extra, and it's tastefully furnished. The rooms are exquisite and beautifully decorated. Everything was exceptionally clean, the grounds and pool were properly taken care of, and the house is in wonderful condition and in a quiet neighborhood. There is truly nothing to be unhappy about. We were greeted with a tray of Greek specialties, olive oil, and local booze by the charming hosts.
