Cemel Villa Rethymno has a 40 sqm. swimming pool with a separate children’s pool. The swimming pool has a whirlpool system and it is surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas, tables and chairs, a barbecue, and a wood oven.
On the ground floor, there is a kitchen with balcony, electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. Asteri is a beautiful village near the coastal settlements of Sfakaki and Stavromenos situated 13km east of Rethymno. It probably took its name (meaning star in Greek), from a fountain with a carved lion on it that shone like a star. In 1866 the village was totally destroyed by the Turks, thus there are very few Venetian buildings saved from that era. During the German occupation, the Nazis arrested and executed the few men of the village and burnt it. Today there is a monument and worth visiting is the folklore museum. Built in an altitude of 70m and in a part of the hillside of Arsaniotikos torrent, Asteri is an ideal destination since it is really close to the crystalline beaches of north Rethymno. Many of its inhabitants who had abandoned the village, returned and built beautiful mansions.

we had a great stay, the house was very clean, a beautiful terrace with a pool, quiet in a charming little village (with restaurants), you can easily shop 5 minutes by car, on the other hand, to go to the beach you have to go to Rethymon about 15 minutes away, The host was very available and responsive to answer our various questions
We have been in the villa and the communication with the hosts was amazing. Both were very helpful, and very friendly, and responded within several hours. The villa was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The villa is located in a quiet area and we really enjoyed our stay there! You can easily drive to nearby places and nice beaches! Thanks again for the amazing experience!
