After entering the villa’s gate you will surprisingly find yourselves in an amazing 2.500 sq. exterior space with palm trees, pines, fruit trees, a lawn, and several ornamental and aromatic plants. This beautiful ambiance is completed by an amazing private swimming pool 9m long and 1.40m deep, which offers magnificent views of the blue Aegean Sea and the Cretan countryside. By the pool, there is a lovely gazebo and a lawn area where you can lounge and sunbathe while enjoying a refreshing beverage. The veranda of the house has its own dining table for six and it is the perfect spot for having delicious meals with family and friends or feeling the rejuvenating night dew whilst enjoying a summer cocktail. The villa has also another outdoor sitting area with BBQ facilities and a big table for six. Depending on the season, our guests may have the opportunity to taste fresh fruits from our trees like apricots, pears, oranges, loquats, mandarins, lemons, and more.
The main space of Metochi Villa Rethymno covers the ground floor space that has an open-plan living room, a fully equipped kitchen, two spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a twin bed, and a bathroom with a shower cabin. This layout is perfect for two couples or families of four. The comfortable and cozy living room with its discreet decoration and the wooden ceiling boasts two triple sofas and a monastery-style dining table for eight is air-conditioned and opens up to a large veranda with a wonderful view of the pool and gardens. The house is equipped with free Wi-Fi, A/C units, flat-screen TV, DVD player, washing machine, hairdryer, safe box, iron/iron board, first aid kit, and all necessary items and appliances for a really comfortable stay.
The studio with its rustic-like furnishing can ideally host three extra guests. This annex house is fully equipped and features two comfortable beds, a large kitchen, and a spacious bathroom with a shower cabin, an A/C unit, and a flat-screen TV. The studio can be additionally booked with a supplementary charge in case the total number of guests is higher than four. Otherwise, it will remain closed.
Metochi is located approximately 2km from the city of Rethymno following the Kazantzakis street and then the pine hill Evligia, we meet the Megalo-Irfan (grand) Metochi and right after the extension of it, the Mikro – Risvan, which took its name from the Turkish mansion of Risvan and it is classified as a "traditional village with high cultural value".
