Giannoudi is a village located approximately 7km southeast of Rethymno city. The traditional settlement is built in an altitude of 110m and today it hosts approximately 100 permanent residents. One of the main and most emblematic sites of Giannoudi is found at the entrance of the village and is an imposing three-story tower that has been declared as a classified monument of the area. This tower probably used to be a fortified residence for some Venetian rulers of the era. The village has a picturesque and quiet character, ideal for a relaxing holiday in a secluded paradise.
