Playa del Carmen is a city located along the Caribbean Sea in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. It features a wide array of tourist activities due to its geographical location and is one of the top diving destinations in the world, thanks to its intense sea life and dazzling underwater caverns, but do not miss out the golfing experience! Daytime in Playa is spent by the water for the most part. When evening rolls around, the crowds descend on 5th Avenue, the famous “La Quinta” as it’s known locally, a two-kilometer stretch of pedestrian-only strip lined with a plethora of bars, restaurants and shops. From the starting point of famed Quinta Avenida, you will find Playacar within 10-15 minutes. Playacar is Playa del Carmen’s less naughty sibling where you will come across small shops and plenty of beach entrances that will open up to non-crowded powdery sand beaches with amazing blue and turquoise hues of water.
