A stone's throw from the center of the white city of Ostuni, and a few kilometers from the Costa Merlata, Villa Taralla is a comfortable home where the blue of the sky, the green of the olive trees, and the red of the rich land of Puglia meet. Equipped with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, it can accommodate up to 8 people.

All the outdoor spaces are to be experienced, with the verdant garden in the center of which you will find the large double-bottomed swimming pool, the solarium with sun loungers and umbrellas, the patio where you can spend moments in the company and in joy, a comfortable gazebo with a low table, sofas, and armchairs. Inside, however, you will be welcomed by a charming living room with vaulted stone walls and ceilings, equipped with a fireplace and a large leather corner sofa. You will feel the embrace of one of the typical houses in the area. The large space also reserves a pleasant corner bar.

An arched entrance connects to the kitchen and dining room. The first one is equipped with everything you need: a five-burner hob, oven, double sink, dishwasher, microwave, extractor hood, dishes, utensils, and a table for 8 people. In the kitchen, you will also find a fireplace, dressers, and solid wood furniture. In the sleeping area, large and bright rooms will make you feel at ease. The house also has a beautiful terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside.

In the surroundings, you will find several beaches. Among the best known there is the free one of Plaia, the bay of Camerini but also the Costa Merlata, Cala Diana, and Torre Pozzelle. The Torre Guaceto nature reserve, for lovers of the environment, is only 17 kilometers away. The center of Ostuni is about one kilometer away.

About the Location

Italy, Puglia, Ostuni

Ostuni is a city in Italy’s Puglia region southern Italy that is known for its whitewashed old town, from which it took the name “White City”. It is a beautiful city that spreads out over the top of three hills and offers majestic views over the sea below.

Ostuni is bet to make you lose yourself in its maze of alleyways. Beautiful staircases and arches, houses built upon houses and hundreds of years of accumulated history will give you the most exciting holidays. Pretty groomed gardens and glimpses of the Adriatic Sea, colorful door and window frames will surprise you in every turning of a corner.

The city has a rich cultural heritage and some of its benchmark sights involve the imposing Cathedral which combines Gothic, Romanesque and Byzantine elements, the medieval arched Porta of San Demetrio, the 16th century Bishop’s Palace and the Civic Museum and Archaeological Park with interesting findings.

Ostuni and the wider area of Puglia might not be among the most visited touristic destinations when compared to Tuscany for instance, yet they offer impeccable sea landscape and an authentic character with long-living traditions. Leaving the city behind and entering the outskirts, you come across some of the unusual trulli cottages that dominate this area with their conical roofs and white walls giving the area a magical flair.

Sleepy whitewashed villages, olive trees, splendid cuisine, and crystal clear sea, Puglia is a heaven on earth destination in the Deep South of Italy. Puglia is a less tourist destination than the overcrowded Tuscany, Venice, and Rome, making it an ideal destination for carefree holidays and an ideal destination to practice your skills in Italian since few people speak English. For the food lovers, Puglia is the favorite region in Italy for eating, patters of marinated and grilled vegetables, cheeses and of course homemade pasta are only some of the dishes you have to taste. Go to the beautiful hobbit-like Alberobello, at the labyrinth streets of Locorotondo and Ostuni, or the gorgeous towns of Otranto and Gallipolli next to the sea. Visit a fortified farmhouse or else masserrie and see how they produce olive oil, wine vegetables, and cheeses, it is an over the top experience. Don’t forget to enjoy the sun's powdery sand, and swim in the crystal clear waters at the beautiful Puglia's coastline.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
