REVIEW SCORE

Villa Mirage Sorrento is located where the enchanting Amalfi Coast begins in one of the most beautiful places of the Sorrento Coast and Amalfi Coast and probably the only private infinity heated pool in the entire area. At Villa Mirage, you truly feel you have found a slice of heaven. The sea and sky peacefully reveal their beauty to you. Their boundaries are barely defined, as the blue of the sky and the red and orange traces of the sun sparkle on the sea’s gentle currents.

Impressively, the Sirenuse Islands “Li Galli” and the Mediterranean Sea are displayed right in front of you. This view is enjoyed throughout Villa Mirage, whether you are just waking up or about to fall asleep in its many gorgeous bedrooms, and when you’re enjoying a cup of coffee in the living room, relaxing in the hot tub on the balcony, strolling through the villa’s large garden, or swimming in the gorgeous infinity and heated pool, you will always enjoy this spectacular view.

A path from the villa winds down to Saint Elia village, dipping into a verdant valley full of Mediterranean oaks, brooms, carobs, and wild olives, the valley is home to the fox and peregrine falcon. Only a lonely rock named “Il Picco” is left of the splendid arch of Queen Giovanna, mentioned by Norman Douglas in his book “The Siren Land”. You and your loved ones will most certainly be amazed at everything you see and experience at Villa Mirage.

About the Location

Italy, Campania, Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast is an ensemble of blue sea, and its mythical beauty has awarded it as a Unesco Mediterranean landscape. The local architecture, along with a typical Mediterranean landscape with citrus trees and blossomed balconies, create an amazing effect! Its cobbled alleys overlooking the sea create a dreamy place. The Amalfi Coast is bordered by Positano to the west and from Vietri Sul Mare to the east.

Positano is a true paradise, developed vertically within a tangled overlay of streets, alleys and shops. Ravello, the most refined village of the ensemble, is lost in the green and dotted with great prestigious architecture houses. Minori is a delightful seaside resort that links together breathtaking landscape and sea to the cultural findings on the archaeological complex of the Villa Romana.

Praiano, on the other hand, is an ancient and tranquil fishing village that offers visitors a very naturalistic landscape, as well as a rich artisan variety linked to the traditional silk spinning and manufacturing. Ancient trades passed down over the centuries, such as that of the artistic ceramic manufacturing of Vietri Sul Mare, all decorated with the wonderful colors of local products. Visits to the following are an absolute must: Scala, Maiori, Cetara, Conca Dei Marini, Corsara, Tramonti and Santo Egidio del Monte Albino, natural beauties and precious historical testimonies in themselves.

Amalfi Coast is blessed with beauty, exquisite wine, and a rich artistic legacy living up to its fame and even exceeding it. The region offers a mild, fantastic climate, immense beauty of the coasts, vibrant art and history, and the love for food. Travelers will enjoy nearby the Gulf of Naples, Capri and Ischia, and the Vesuvius. Sorrento is also a distinctive town that seems to tumble into the sea. Music and entertainment, sun and sea, history and culture are pivotal elements of this land, which poets claim to be the last sight somebody should experience before dying. Paestum; Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Torre Annunziata, the Chartreuse of Padula, the Royal Palace of Caserta are all pieces of History and Art that one should visit.

Campania is one of the regions of Southern Italy. Few corners of Europe can match Campania’s cultural heritage since it is home to a stunning selection of architectural sights from ancient Greek times to Christian Cathedrals. This is the area of ancient Pompeii. Campania is full of chariot grooves, frescoes, and heart-stirring sculptures.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
