On the ground floor, there are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed, a separate entrance, and a bathroom with a shower right next to it. Two more interconnected bedrooms one with a double bed and one with two singles can be isolated from the restrooms through a door. 12 guests sleep in the existing beds and there are 2 double sofa beds and 1 single sofa bed at your disposal. Also on the ground floor, there is the main living room and dining room as well as a fully equipped spacious kitchen and a bathroom with a bathtub. Amalthia is surrounded by furnished verandas that offer exquisite views of the garden and a private pool.
Ascend to the first floor, where you will encounter one bedroom with 2 single beds as well as a sitting area opening to a shaded furnished balcony and ample view towards the garden and swimming pool. One big room with a double bed and a double sofa bed, as well as fireplace and bathroom with bathtub, is the master bedroom here whilst two more bedrooms both with double beds and a bathroom with a bathtub are also found here.
Villa Amalthia Villa is built in a small rural village called Mouzaki, in the Southern part of Zakynthos. The villa is about 5 km from Laganas, one of the most well-known resorts in Zante. The area is a peaceful one far from the noisy resorts but close enough to traditional taverns and mini markets that you can visit during your stay.
Mouzaki is an ideal base that offers you easy access to many parts of the island and various landscapes such as Keri, where you can hire a boat and visit Marathonisi (Turtle Island), Porto Limnionas, and Porto Roxa, two places of unparallel wild beauty and of course some of the traditional mountainous villages of Zakynthos like Koiliomenos or Agios Leontas.
Mouzaki is located in the south of the island, 8km northeast of the Town of Zakynthos at the foothills close to the village of Macherado. Mouzaki is one of the oldest villages of Zakynthos, dating from 1521 and is the main village near the cosmopolitan resort of Laganas, in fact, Laganas Town Hall is located in Mouzaki. Despite being near the biggest and most popular resort of the island, Mouzaki has maintained its authenticity, remaining a beautiful, undeveloped, and pristine village with its traditional houses and old churches. In the vicinity, there are a number of caves for exploration.
