About the Location

Greece, Lefkada

Tsoukalades is a mountainous village located 6 km west of the capital town. It is situated between Lefkada Town and Agios Nikitas. The area is a fine example of traditional architecture with lovely stone-built houses and tiled roofs with special details such as yellowish roof tiles. In recent years there has been a development of touristic facilities and establishment of new villas and holiday homes. The area around the village is surrounded by a dense pine forest that goes all the way down to the sea. There is a path that passes through the forest and leads to the popular Pefkoulia beach. Tsoukalades is also famous for its mesmerizing sunsets.

Lefkada belongs to the Ionian island group, located west of the Greek mainland, known for its vivid turquoise sea color. Beaches, like Porto Katsiki, Kathisma and Egremni, are among the most photographed places in Greece. It is called by many the Caribbean of Greece for obvious reasons. Connected to the mainland through a bridge, Lefkada has the advantage that it can be accessed by car. This island will cover all tastes; it is the perfect place for families, romantic couples but also large groups of friends who want to relax and enjoy themselves.

The Ionian Islands are located on the western side of Greece and are historically and culturally strongly connected to Italy with many evident elements of this. The architecture of the capital towns, including Corfu Town, Zakynthos Town and Argostoli, resembles a lot to the Venetian style as these islands were occupied by the Venetians in the medieval times. Another striking characteristic of Ionian Greece is the lush green nature and the aquamarine beaches with white soft sand. Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Lefkada are the most popular holiday islands. The Ionian islands also embrace an amazing music and dance tradition.

5 Star villa with 6 star service!

This was our first time in Lefkada but definitely will return and stay with Art Blue Villas. We arrived late to find Kostas waiting for us patiently and in the morning Dina arrived with Natasha with a wonderful (pre-ordered) breakfast. The housekeeping ladies came early morning to sweep around the pool and again later to make the beds, clear away the dishes and leave the villa looking spotless.

Dina's attention to detail is a credit to her as nothing was too much trouble! Her local knowledge of eateries, beaches, distances, shopping was invaluable. V

illa Camelia is so quiet with incredible views and even more inspiring sunsets.

We made new long lasting friendships with Dina and her crew and would recommend Art Blue Villas to all our friends

Thanks again Dina, keep up the good work and hope to see you again next year!

Top notch villa In Lefkada

We stayed one night in Villa Camélia. It was a gorgeous stay. Beautiful view on the valley, w enjoyed the sunset very much. The villa was in a perfect state and well conceived.

Super breakfast delivered with home made bread and pastries.

It was a transit stop in our trip and a very nice surprise.

Wish we could stay forever!

For the third time we stayed at Art Blue Villas, that says it all I suppose. Villa Camelia will probably always be our favorite; such a lovely decorated convenient house, together with the provided service, fantastic breakfasts served by Dina and her staff, the views, the pool, I could go on forever. It's the kind of place you never want to leave. So for sure, there will be a fourth visit in the near future!

Kaum zu toppen...

Weit schöner als erträumt war unser Aufenthalt bei Dina und Costas in den Art Blue Villas.

Die Villa Camelia war ein Traum, der Service auf 5*****- Niveau, die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber und ihres Teams nicht zu verbessern.

Besonders hervorzuheben die Qualität des Hauses. Tägich um 8 Uhr Reinigung des Außenbereichs und des Pools, danach, immer dann, wenn wir auf Achse waren, das Haus piccobello gemacht. Umsichtig, unauffällig, akkurat und immer sympathisch- ein Service wie in einem Tophotel.

Das Frühstück immer liebevoll zubereitet und vor allem frisch mit Produkten der Region.

Lefkada als Urlaubsziel unschlagbar: im Westen zerklüftet mit unglaublichen Stränden und aufgrund des Fehlens von gro´ßen Hotels kaum überfüllt, Im Osten kleine Inselchen mit wunderschönen Buchten und Stränden.

Wir hoffen sehr, dass der Massentourismus Lefkada nicht für sich entdeckt. Es ist zum Teil wie im Paradies.

Simply the best – absolutely exceptional

This place – in our case Villa Camelia – is simply the best! It starts with a friendly and warm welcome and ends with great memories of a wonderful relaxing holiday. Lovely house, nicely decorated, spotless clean and all over very well maintained. The location is fantastic, great views and quiet. Great owners, great service team, a perfect and discrete service are adding up. The breakfast service is amazing and unforgettable. Never before have we been so spoiled.

We can highly recommend art blue villas. A 5 Star Hotel couldn’t do it better.

Just beyond!

We had an extraordinary stay in villa Camelia . The villa is what promises to be , clean , big , very well equipped,with and absolutely breathtaking view and a breakfast you can't resist . If you look for some silence and privacy with wonderful landscape you should definitely stay at Art Blue Villas. It s easy to find , very close to some of the beaches. And I do not think I ever met such friendly,hospitable and helpful people , Dina you re amazing woman !

So if you want to make your vacation in Lefkada memorable choose the magical Art Blue Villas .

Island life with Panoramic Sea Views

Villa Amelia, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large garden with private pool.

This villa is truly amazing, thank you to Dina and Kostas for a memorable holiday, the sea views are to die for and the location Tsoukalades is west coast so sunset after sunset every night, Located on a very steep hill, hidden away. The villa came with an all inclusive breakfast, what a touch, so much delicious food to choose from, we managed lunch and a picnic on the beach each day from the breakfast, too much food and drink to list. The lovely friendly greek ladies cleaned the villa everyday, even did the washing up if we had left it, which was not often as sea views while washing up was a novelty. beach towels supplied so save on some luggage space. Dressing gowns and slippers supplied in the wardrobes, an iron and board, hair dryers, hand wash and hand cream at the sinks and cleaning products in the kitchen. Aircon if needed, The tv did not have many English channels but we were out so much it did not matter. There were so many seating areas on multi levels, surrounded by herbs, flowers and shrubs, so if more than two stay, there is plenty of space and very private. We made fresh pesto every day from the never ending variety of herbs in the garden. There is an outside bbq and a well equipped kitchen, we love to cook so very handy. The swimming pool is the biggest compared to the other Art Blue villas, a little cold though, 4 sun loungers and unmbrellas. Parking was right outside the villa. Very cute to see a local cat and her kittens, we found out the owners feed them which was good to hear as its very upsetting seeing an unkept starving wild cat or dog.

Beaches:

excellent location for west coast beaches, Pefkoulia (sandy/stone) is the nearest and nicest local beach with a great café/bar for sunset (10 mins drive). We drove around the island which is not very big so a half day explore or whole day if you want to stop for lunch somewhere, so many hidden villages to discover and many beaches.

Amenities:

There is a reception area near the villas so anything you need you just ask.

Bike rental in Lefkada town, worth cycling around the flat lagoon, 4/5 miles and only 5 euros to rent a bike. Some beaches have water sports and boat trips to beaches not reached by road. There are supermarkets and many bars and restaurants and plenty of shopping opportunities. My husband took his road bike, a good island for cycling, the roads are not so busy in September, very hilly inland though.

Easy drive from Preveza airport to Lefkada, a car rental is a must so you can explore the beautiful island.

We do not normally revisit holiday destinations as there are so many places to visit in the world but we fell in love with this Villa, the hospitality and location so would love to re visit. Looking for a villa like this on another greek island for this year but no luck yet.

Vi havde store forventninger til Villa Camelia, og de blev virkelig indfriet. Billederne taler sandt, alt er perfekt. Et ophold her kan varmt anbefales.

Valgmulighederne til morgenmaden er helt overdådige, sengene er fantastiske, og beliggenheden er suveræn.

Dina var meget imødekommende og hjælpsom. Hun forærede min søn den lækreste fødselsdagskage.

Tusind tak for et super dejligt ophold.

Great stay !!!

We stayed at villa camellia and really from the first moment of our arrival, it looked amazingly decorated, both exterior and interior. The view from the villa to the green hills and the sea was reminiscent of paintings at all times of the day. The outdoor areas are adorned with beautiful seating areas, lounges and sun loungers, so you can enjoy the view, your food and your coffee or your swim in the comfortable pool !!! The warm décor of the lounge and bedrooms, the cleanliness and the excellent equipment of the interiors (nothing missing in the kitchen!) Prove the owners' special care in maintaining a high standard of stay for their guests, which left us very impressed. The courteous staff took care of the cleanliness of the premises and a very enjoyable and quality breakfast started our day, enriched with traditional local dishes by Mrs. Dina !! I recommend to those who choose Lefkada for their holidays, not to get tired of looking for truly enjoyable stay, because to art blue villas is worth their ideal destination !!

Our favorite place in Greece so far!

We have rented many homes in Greece and other places over the years, and Villa Camelia (part of Art Blue Villas) is our favorite! It is a beautiful place, and the property managers thought of everything to make our stay pleasant. We were greeted with a home made cake, fresh fruit and a bottle of Lefkada wine and could not believe the spectacular views over the Mediterranean sea. This place has everything: free secured Wifi, air conditioning, espresso machine, mosquito screens, several lounge areas inside and outside, candles, fire place, barbecue pit, fantastic infinity pool, deck chairs, fresh towels changed daily, full kitchen, super nice bathrooms with lovely shampoos/conditioner/lotions, jet tub upstairs... the list goes on! We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and actually had a hard time tearing ourselves away to make our way to one of the beaches nearby. Milos was our favorite, which can be reached by water taxi or via a 20 minute hike from Aghios Nikitas. We also went back to Dessimi near Nidri to rent a motor boat and cruised the islands of Skorpios and Meganisi. Our hosts have been fantastic. Every day someone came to ask if we needed anything, and they kept restocking our Nespresso capsules :) And once or twice the lovely hostess came down and brought us fresh squeezed orange juice and various breads. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and are already planning to return next year! Thank you, everyone at Art Blue Villas!

Wunderschöne Lage, denSonnenuntergang auf Terrasse genießen. Am morgen perfekter Frühstücksservice mit lokalen und selbstgemachten Produkten. Perfekter Service ! Sehr, sehr freundliche Vermieter.

Die Freiheit einer eigenen Villa bei annähernd "Hotelservice" in einer wunderbaren Umgebung !!

the best...!!!!!!

The two weeks we stayed at Camelia Villa were unique !! It was the best we have ever rented !!! Incredible view, sweet sunset! Functional spaces and incredibly beautifully decorated! Landscaped corners, breakfast lounges, coffee! The lavender in the yard smelled and adorned the jars of the outdoor lounges !! The perfect villa. Extremely well equipped, impressed dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets and coffee capsules provided.

Villa owners very welcoming, providing cooked food for our arrival, a tray of fruit and homemade apple cake as extra to the welcome pack.

Villa and pool cleaned on alternate days to a high standard.

Small touches such as fresh flowers provided.
