Karavados village is located in the province of Livatho, in the south of Kefalonia Island. The houses, streets, churches of the village give out a very neat image. Karavados (karavi means ship in Greek) used to be a village with many seamen. An iron anchor in the center of the village is a monument dedicated to “the village of its lost seamen” to indicate this. The sandy beach of St. Thomas is a pole of attraction for Karavados. Essentially, there are two beaches, separated by rocks. The waters are crystal clear and the beach is accessible even on foot from the village.
The peaceful village of Mousata is among Enos mountain and the gorgeous Ionian Sea. Located close to Trapezaki, here you can enjoy one of the best beaches of Kefalonia island with soft golden sand and clear blue waters in an area of totally breathtaking beauty. From Mousata you can visit the Castle of St George as well as the Monastery of Milapidias with its Ecclesiastical Museum. Being only 12klm away from Argostoli, the capital of the island, Mousata is an ideal destination. Taste the local honey and smell the fresh-baked bread from the local stores, the locals boast for these two products and say that their combination is truly unique.
Kefalonia is the largest island of the Ionian group, located between Lefkada and Zante. Maria and Dennis made my boys and I very welcome and the villa is so well maintained and clean. It was quite apparent that lots of time and thought had been given to the villa and necessary essentials were available that are usually forgotten about in a rental property. The villa is very spacious and the bed is unbelievably comfortable.
I hasten to say I have already booked for next year and cannot wait to return. It is a quiet peaceful place to stay and within a short walking distance to a beach with breathtaking views and a beach bar. It’s simply perfect.

Die Besitzer sind super freundlich, herzlich und um jeden Komfort bemüht. Sie sorgen für einen stets sauberen Pool, frische Wäsche und ein blitzblankes Haus.
Das Haus selbst wirkt mit seinen fast 70qm und den hohen Decken großräumig und hell. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail haben die Besitzer es geschafft, einen fließenden Übergang von Natur außen zu Wohlgefühl innen zu schaffen. Naturmaterialen, Farben, die Meer und Strand widerspiegeln machen ein behagliches Wohngefühl.
Bei Funktionalität wurde an alles gedacht und modernes Technik steht hier nicht im Widerspruch zur Natur.
Wir wollten für immer hier bleiben - wie Adam und Eva im Paradies. Dankeschön für alles! Wir kommen wieder!

The kitchen has all appliances including even a toasty maker and even ice prepared in the ice box Also a good hob /oven and extractor ,fridge freezer all crockery ,cutlery and glasses (even plastic glasses for the pool area)
Bathroom has a massive walk in shower ,washing machine and loads of space ,fluffy towels and great smelling complimentary toiletries of a high standard
Living area has a long sofa /tv /wifi that is fast and a good TV with lots of channels and also reading material from Adrian gill if you wish
Dining area has a Good dining table and some really quirky stylish driftwood art pieces to finish the room
The pool area has a great private pool and table and chairs seating /sun beds and very comfy lounger beds and a barbecue (even lighting fuel is there )
The villa is private (gated and fenced ) and very private for people who wish to sunbathe without people gawping at you
The bedroom is a lovely size with a ooh so comfy bed and high plush pillows Plenty of wardrobe space with shelves etc
Linen /towels etc are changed weekly and pool is cleaned twice Air conditioning is in every room/mosquito shutters in all windows of all the rooms

This is by far the best and the most relaxing holiday for years and I will definitely go back next summer
