Kounopetra is a coastal settlement located on Akrotiri of Palliki, 40km south of the capital of Argostoli and 10km from the picturesque village of Lixouri. The beach displays red sand and shallow waters, ideal for small children. Kounopetra includes remnants of clay, which will give you the chance to enjoy a natural spa. The beach itself is considered a geological phenomenon since it is, in fact, a huge rock that stands out of the sea and creates a relentless movement. This movement ceased after the earthquake of 1953. This is also what its name indicates; rock that moves. Kounopetra has crystal clear waters and is surrounded by lush vegetation. It also includes some tourist facilities.

Everything was beyond our expectation It was a last minute booking on our last vacation day and it was fantastic. Even if it was the ending of season the resort was beautiful and the staff was really helpful and kind. We will certainly come back next year ,since we visit Kefalonia every year.

Amazing remote location. You need a car to visit local restaurants and beaches, but exactly what we needed. Xi beach is about 15 mins drive and is beautiful with great bars and restaurants. Lovely pool and none of the villas are overlooked
Kymata Resort will truly amaze you. It is destined to enchant its guests with warm hospitality, exquisite villas, true bohemian luxury and stunning views of raw island beauty. Did not expect to get so much from a simple stay. The staff was more than eager to help with everything we requested and a sure added bonus was surely the food. Simply Delicious!

Very friendly staff, always willing to help and provide service with high standard. We stayed in Grand Villa No. 5 which has a private pool - comfortable and clean. Villa was very nice kept inside and spacious. Also equipped with smart TV. The view from the terrace and watching stars at night was breathtaking:) Can’t wait to go there again!????
La sistemazione è davvero molto bella. Moderna , arredata con gusto, carinissimo lo spazio esterno con un pergolato con una piscina esclusiva ne anche poi tanto piccola. La notte vedi un celo meraviglioso pieno di stelle. Il personale è disponibilissimo, molto carina la manager, Sempre attenta a qualsiasi esigenza. Possibilità di fare colazione e mangiare con la tua famiglia nello spazio personale. Davvero un posto che consiglio, ed è assolutamente la miglior sistemazione che abbiamo trovato a Cefalonia ( abbiamo girato 5 strutture).

· המקום מעוצב באופן יפיפה, החדרים מרווחים נאים ונעימים, המארחים מאד סימפטים ויצאו מגדרם כדי לעזור, כולל שינוי בהרכב ארוחת הבוקר כך שיתאים לחייך הישראלי - ויכלול יותר ירקות. באופן כללי ארוחת הבוקר נעימה וטובה ומוגשת בחיוך. האזור המרכזי נעים מאד לשהייה, וגם הבריכה המרכזית, וכך גם הבריכה הקטנה הצמודה לחדר. מאד נקי ומסודר. המיקום די מבודד - בסביבה המידית אין חנויות, אבל נסיעה לעיר בה יש רוב מה שנדרש לוקחת לא יותר מרבע שעה. על מנת לטייל ברחבי קפלוניה הנהדרת, לרוב נסענו לעיר הזו ומשם לקחנו מעבורת לעיר הגדולה ארגוסטולי, המעבורת מגיעה בתדירות גבוהה והיא לא יקרה. מומלץ, בפרט אם מזמינים מספיק זמן מראש, לבקש את החדרים הקרובים ביותר לקו המים.
