The luxury villa is designed in 2 levels and covers a total area of 200 square meters. The modern-designed living room with the fireplace lounge impresses by the unlimited Cretan sea views on the ground floor. Gournes village is situated 15 kilometers east of Heraklion. It is a relatively small but very picturesque village. It took its name from "gourna" meaning “basin”, and it is believed that there used to be many watering-places in the area in the past. The evidence still exists, as a "river" basin still runs through the center of the village. It is dry in the summer but during winter and spring its ample water ends up in the sea nearby. Gournes is more traditional and has been intact by tourism. It doesn’t display overly developed touristic infrastructure and is ideal for a tranquil hospitable holiday.

We had an amazing time at this wonderful villa. The views are exceptional! Lots of space inside, lovely garden and pool outside. Very well equipped kitchen, everything is very spacious, perfect for our family of 6. Eleftherios and his wife took great care of us, thanks for everything, especially the groceries (for next morning breakfast) that were present in the fridge upon our late arrival!
This play is incredible! We had the best time, they left us complementary wine and snacks and it was the perfect way to wind down after a long travel day. His wife met us and gave us a tour of the home, she was so kind to us and made us feel so welcome. The restaurants that are walking distance are wonderful.
Super host! Super home. Location a bit far from everything, but then you get the privacy. Fast communication, even if the weather was challenging.
We have just got back from a fantastic stay at this villa. It really is a stunning property with the most incredible view. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful which made it such a relaxing experience.
An amazing house - beautifully designed and full of light and a see view from every window - in the best location by the beachfront, and next to a nice bar and restaurant. The hosts were also very attentive and helpful. We stayed with a 3 year old and an 8 year old and a 74 year old, they loved the playing in the pool and on the sandy beach literally across the road. I can't recommend it highly enough!
