SK Place have three villas in a small private complex to the east of the small village of Almyrida. Cleverly designed to maximize privacy yet afford spectacular views across the bay to the Chania peninsula. We stayed in Ammos the middle Villa which is beautifully appointed, airy, spacious, and with all the trimmings you expect from a 5* operation. Ammos being the middle villa was more sheltered than its neighbor Almyra. The three villas are down a small road away from traffic and are extremely quiet and tranquil. The pool was a real hit with my girls who spent most of the week swimming and relaxing. The village of Almyrida is just a few mins walk away, with all the tavernas and small shops you need. Chania the local main town is about 40 mins drive with a lovely Old Town to explore. Overall a real 5* experience that we intend to do again in 2023 dog-sitter permitting!

We have rented the 3 SK Villas for an annual family gathering, and everything was just perfect. Villas are different and each one in its own style has a beautiful design with great facilities.
The location is also fantastic, with a sand beach and restaurants within short walking distance, and a stunning view on the bay.
Katrina , the Villas owner, was very helpul to guide us and address us to Stella and Christo, who own a restaurant in Plaka, and cattered for us at the Villas. To fully appreciate Cretan cuisine and the local wines, I would highly recommend hiring their services during the week to add to the pleasure of the stay. We had 4 evenings of delicious cuisine and one fantastic wine tasting experience, with wines only Stella could find. I will never let my friends say again that the wine in Crete is mediocre!
Last but not least, both the Villas and the cattering services come at a price, but you definitely get the value for them.
We have annual family gathering since several years now, and that's our best experience so far!
