Xirokampi is located in Platanias, 18km from the city of Chania, at an altitude of 150 meters, and offers a unique view towards the valley with olive trees and vineyards. Xirokampi is just 3km away from the beach of Pyrgos Psilonerou. The village has no developed tourist infrastructure, but being close to Platanias one can enjoy all amenities and buzzy nightlife and day life in one of the most cosmopolitan resorts of Crete. The name of the village is probably attributed to the desiccation of the sources that used to exist in the area.
