The village of Patellari is situated in the north of Crete, a few kilometers south of the popular tourist resort of Platanias and 17 km away from the town of Chania. This is a martyred village which experienced the brutality of the Nazis along with many casualties, after the 1941 Battle of Crete during the German Occupation. At the entrance of Patellari, there is a historical monument that reminds of that era. In the village, there are several churches, including a very small one, worth visiting. Along the village flows a river. Patellari is a verdant place surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and citrus that will offer a tranquil vacation for nature lovers.

Beautifully located in the orange grove, very courteous management, very friendly and helpful owner.
In particular, our children felt extremely comfortable here, we all enjoyed the stay extremely and would love to come back.
We stayed here towards the end of September. The house was immaculate and the hospitality was amazing. Giannis was as always helpful but very discreet at the same time. We couldn’t have asked for a better host and house. Really helped us enjoy our holiday since we all felt like home. The house sits in a very quiet and peaceful area and it’s surrounded by beautiful trees. It is in a great place to explore the Old Town and the whole Chania region.
The host Maria was super friendly and always responded immediately, the cleaners were good (2 x per week new bedding, towels and big cleaning) and we got very nice surprises (which I will not reveal) during our stay, very sweet and thoughtful!
The house had everything you need (even outside everything was well arranged)! It is close to the city of Chania, but still nicely secluded for some peace. I would definitely recommend it as well as coming back, thanks again to everyone for the good care!

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The house was lovely, with a clean and private setting that made for a very relaxing vacation. The pool was a highlight, perfect for cooling off on hot days. We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden, where we could pick our own oranges. Ioannis was a great host, and the whole experience was smooth.
We had a great 12 day stay at this place. Amazed by the accommodation upon arrival - looked even better than the photos. The perfect place to relax in peaceful surroundings and explore the lovely island of Crete.
We enjoyed a mixture of lazy pool days to exploring the mountain areas and numerous local beaches. We also drove further a far to Balos Bay and Elafonisi beach.
Ioannis and his family were very friendly, the place was cleaned every 3-4 days and we were treated to some home made family cakes and pie. The perfect hosts - thanks again for making our stay so pleasant.

The welcome from Maria was warm and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The location is very quiet and offers a lot of privacy – perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The villa itself was very clean, which made everything feel even more comfortable and well cared for. A lovely touch: there were always small gift baskets provided, which made the stay feel even more special.
The property is just a short drive from Chania, making it a great base for running small errands or visiting one of the many beautiful nearby beaches. The pool was clean and provided a refreshing way to cool down, and the outdoor area was beautifully designed and very inviting.
There’s also a wonderful restaurant nearby called Drakiana, which we can highly recommend.
A special thanks to Maria – she was always available, very communicative, and incredibly warm. We would love to come back!
Small taverna close by, that does food and drinks, and a 20 min drive to Chania. Would definitely recommend.
We had 6 nice days in the villa. 4 adults and 3 children. The house was as described in the listing. The host met us at check-in even though it was late at night, we got a tour of the house and good tips on places we could visit. She responded very quickly to text messages when we contacted her later in the stay.
We also got to check out at 12:00 and we checked ourselves out.
The villa was beautiful.
All 3 bedrooms have air conditioning and TVs.
Bathrooms are spacious, 2 toilets upstairs and one downstairs.
Large spacious open-plan lounge with kitchen area.
The outside is beautiful, and the pool was immaculate and cleaned every other day.
Large outside dining area which we used every day.
The villa is surrounded by various fruit trees and is extremely peaceful.
There is also an outside BBQ and a pizza oven.
The only fault we could find was that there was only 1 shelf in the oven, no baking sheets and the TV in the lounge was very slow, also there was no toaster.
We will definitely visit again
We had such a wonderful stay. So much space so the perfect getaway for a girls trip. Relatively close to some of the popular beaches , lovely little town nearby with lots to do. The host was super helpful and responsive, a great packet with some fabulous recommendations.

Not very nice weather during our stay in Crete. We were limited by the cold in the space which is not easy to heat. But I imagine this problem is rare in Crete. The A/C seemed to work very well and it's more often useful.
We had an amazing and relaxing experience at this villa! The villa is beautifully situated in peaceful surroundings, making it the perfect getaway. It was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, allowing us to unwind and enjoy our time there.
The amenities were great, and we truly appreciated the tranquil atmosphere. However, we wanted to mention a couple of areas for improvement. While we were informed that the pool would be cleaned, it wasn’t quite up to our expectations during our stay. Additionally, the bathroom door in one of the bedrooms was a bit noisy, and the stairs felt a little shaky, so some attention there would enhance safety and comfort for future guests.
Overall, these minor issues didn’t overshadow our wonderful experience, and we would definitely consider returning for another visit. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The cooling system performs admirably. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the living room is enormous. Good mattress and a lot of storage. There is a sizable pool outside with lounge chairs, garden equipment, etc. The orange trees are a plus because they offer shade. Despite being adjacent to the property, the road is not a major thoroughfare. The hosts are really kind, and cleaning is done every four days.
A few kilometers from Platanias and about 20 minutes from Chania, this place is quite pleasant and in a great location. A home that is precise as described, complete with a very comfy pool, a large living room, and outdoor spaces

Each week, the entire house—including the bed linens and towels—was cleaned. When we arrived, we found various supplies like salt, spices, and coal for the big barbecue. After spending the day by the sea, the pool was ideal. We admired it a lot. Plantanias is roughly 4.5 kilometers away. We require a vehicle. The staff is really helpful and kind. A kind Greek family who lives in the house's entrance gave us aluminum foil as a favor. A wonderful trip all around. The residence is ideal for carefree holidays!
We had a wonderful month at the villa and can highly recommend. The villa is very private, is beautifully laided out and was our home away from home. The team were very helpful and with twice weekly cleaning, a lovely gift basket on arrival and a surprise tray of stuffed veggies one night, we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
The villa is a 7 minute drive out of Platanias, surrounded by orange trees, fresh squeezed juice everyday was a definite plus, and with the pool, it made a fantastic base for exploring the west of Crete.
