Alikampos is a beautiful traditional village at an altitude of 310m in the foothill of the White Mountains. It is located 40km from Chania city and 6km from the nearby Vrysses village, belonging to the municipality of Apokoronas. The view of the White Mountains is a breathtaking sight. The hills surrounding the settlement of Alikampos are verdant with coniferous trees. The village is particularly famed for its fine quality wine. Alikampos is catered with a traditional kafenion (cafeteria) and some little shops. Worth seeing is the little Byzantine chapel of Analypsis with exquisite icons dating back to the 14th century. Alikampos is 10km away from the lengthy sandy beaches of Georgioupolis.
