Villa Tereza has a long and wealthy history. The villa was originally mentioned back in the second half of the 18th century. Although history doesn’t start there, in the 15th century the charming chapel located in the villa's gardens was constructed. It can be also be assumed, although the history books are vague, that the chapel was built by a noble family that once upon a time owned the villa. The only remaining evidence of the villa's existence today is a land right to the property by the Caboga in 1891. Villa Tereza has stood proudly overlooking the rolling hills of Konavle for centuries.
Villa Tereza has been lovingly restored and now shines as it did all those centuries ago. With its strong stone walls and traditional exterior, the villa will impress you even before you enter. The courtyard, with a feature Konavle style window and a magnificent Cyprus tree in the center, will leave you intrigued, this is an entrance to impress and it works. The living room oozes class, the fusion of the traditional and the modern is a feature that continues throughout the whole villa. Each room has a special touch but each also highlights the very best of Mediterranean design; Villa Tereza still has the feel of nobility.
The unofficially known as the "Dubrovnik Riviera" and officially as the Zupa Dubrovacka named after the Zupa bay, stretches over 20km of diamond coast between Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Sunny and not spoilt with excessive tourism, this region is predominantly agricultural boasting a stunning scenery.
The vegetation is Mediterranean and the wealth of coves and emerald beaches has made the region a favorite resort spot for locals and visitors, especially in recent years. Just behind the mountains lies Bosnia-Hercegovina.
The principal villages of the Riviera are Kupari, Srebreno, Mlini, Soline and Plat. Of these villages, Mlini is the largest and most developed, Plat is the quietest and Srebreno has the longest beach.
The beautiful and extremely well-fortified city of Dubrovnik lies in the very southern region of Croatia and has had a special position for centuries. The former city republic is still a Croatian enclave, separated from the Croatian mainland by narrow sea access since the Ottoman times. This sea passage belongs to the neighboring country Bosnia and Herzegovina.
