Villa Konavle is the perfect choice for those who want to spend their holiday in the silence of the village, breathing the fresh air, enjoying the scents of greenery, lemons, oranges, Mediterranean herbs, olive trees, elegant cypresses away from the rush and bustle, yet only ten minutes drive from the charming Cavtat or half an hour drive from renowned Dubrovnik.
Villa is located in the village Cilipi, region Konavle where villas' owners were born. True to their family roots owners have incorporated modern villa on the foundations of the old Konavle house. To create a cozy but luxurious atmosphere, traditional materials were used during construction: stone, wood, marble. Many pieces of furniture and internal staircase are hand-made by the old masters. Yet, the interior of the villa is equipped with all modern amenities to make guests stay relaxed and enjoyable.
A special feature of the villa is a beautifully and carefully maintained garden which covers an area of 2500 m2 and 45 m2 big outdoor swimming pool. Guests can enjoy the shade of cypress and pine trees, but if they visit the villa during the autumn can treat themselves with freshly picked oranges, lemons, olives from the villas` amazing garden. There are also few terraces at the front and back of the house, with barbecue along with dining furniture, making it an ideal spot for dining.
With its gorgeous garden completely enclosed with a typical Dalmatian stone wall, the villa is perfect for families with children. While the kids play cheerfully and carelessly around the house or they run after their pets (pets are allowed due to the big garden area), parents can enjoy sunbathing next to the pool or preparing barbecue or simply can relax knowing that their children are happy and safe.
Villa consists of two floors unites. On the first floor, there are 2 double rooms, 1 single room, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining area. Stairs made of cast iron take you on the second floor to a big living room with widescreen TV, pull-out sofa suitable for 2 persons, fireplace, working corner with a desk, computer and printer, beautiful terrace with the stunning view over Konavle fields. Master bedroom with terrace and spacious ensuite bathroom shares the same floor.
Villa is also the perfect starting point for exploring the Konavle region. Just 500 meters away is the center of Cilipi village where each Sunday after Mass in St. Nicolas' church, the local folklore ensemble will introduce you to the customs and traditions of Konavle. It is also an opportunity to see the nearby Cilipi Museum which treasures valuable ethnological items, as well as to buy an original souvenir ornamented with the famous Konavle embroidery.
Surrounding villages, hills, little rivers, and beaches- famous Konavle rocks, guests can explore with bicycles which are at their disposal in the villa. Numerous bicycle paths are crossing regions and often can be seen groups of sportsmen biking around. For those interested in horses, there is tour horseback riding starting just a few km away from the villa, also ATV safari.
Konavle is well-known for delicious traditional domestic food which can be found in many village households all of them just a few km away.
The unofficially known as the "Dubrovnik Riviera" and officially as the Zupa Dubrovacka named after the Zupa bay, stretches over 20km of diamond coast between Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Sunny and not spoilt with excessive tourism, this region is predominantly agricultural boasting a stunning scenery.
The vegetation is Mediterranean and the wealth of coves and emerald beaches has made the region a favorite resort spot for locals and visitors, especially in recent years. Just behind the mountains lies Bosnia-Hercegovina.
The principal villages of the Riviera are Kupari, Srebreno, Mlini, Soline and Plat. Of these villages, Mlini is the largest and most developed, Plat is the quietest and Srebreno has the longest beach.
The beautiful and extremely well-fortified city of Dubrovnik lies in the very southern region of Croatia and has had a special position for centuries. The former city republic is still a Croatian enclave, separated from the Croatian mainland by narrow sea access since the Ottoman times. This sea passage belongs to the neighboring country Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The greatness of the defense fortifications the big city of Dubrovnik once had must still be taken into consideration even though the imposing ramparts and fortifications no longer serve their former purpose. On the contrary, Dubrovnik and its surrounding areas rank among the most preferred destinations of many tourists coming to Croatia. The region is quickly and easily accessible due to the international airport of Dubrovnik. This is a place that offers it all; a rich and well-preserved cultural heritage, wonderful beaches, secluded coves and unspoilt, typical Mediterranean landscape. In addition, it is a vibrant and lively place with lots of concerts, festivals, museums, exhibitions, archaeological sites and a variety of adventure sports that are the perfect combination for a relaxing yet interesting holiday.
