Kamala Beach is found on the west coast of Phuket just north of Patong and immediately south of Surin Beach. In respect to the crowded beaches of Phuket, it is a quieter stretch of sand with a more relaxed pace and a very friendly atmosphere. It is a well-enclosed bay and fishing village surrounded by verdant hills with forests is one of the most charming places in Phuket. Kamala during the past few years has been attracting a lot of pensioners and other longer-term visitors. In the south, you will find a number of luxury villas overlooking the gorgeous Kamala Bay, offering majestic views. I just stayed at Villa Saan for 4 nights in early October and to summarize my stay in one word, it’s “oasis.” There were 12 of us in the group and the villa could comfortably accommodate several more guests. Phuket is a large island and there’s a lot to do but once I arrived at Villa Saan, I felt no need to leave the villa. There are so many areas of the villa to hang out and enjoy and when I wanted some quiet time on my own, all the rooms are their own sanctuaries.
I’ve been to Phuket over a dozen times and stayed at all the top resorts and villas and my stay at Villa Saan was definitely a refreshing and different experience. Villa Saan is in an exclusive neighborhood and within a gated and guarded complex. It’s only a few minutes ride to the main Patong beach and shopping area.
The villa has 8 spacious rooms and all have en-Suite baths/showers. The master bedroom has its own dipping pool on the balcony and comes with outdoor shower and tub as well! There are two other master suites on the upper level and five suites on the main level. All the rooms provide total tranquility as they are tucked into their own little private area of the villa.
Villa Saan has a 19-meter infinity pool with jacuzzi, bar/billiards room, mini-theater, full gym with spa facilities and Ping Pong table, massive open air main living room, formal dining area and several other lounges and casual dining areas.
The view from the villa is incredible as it’s perched at the top of a cliff overlooking a bay and there are so many vantage points within the villa to soak in the views...the infinity pool, the bar/billiards room, the living/dining areas, and more. Sunsets were majestic!
The facilities are top-notch but even more impressive was villa manager Kade and her amazing staff. They were always there to see if you needed something and always with a smile and the famous Thai hospitality. I particularly liked the fresh chilled coconut juice that I had upon arrival and which I also enjoyed everyday while lounging around. Kade and team can arrange all of your needs for a stress-free holiday, from pre-arrival preparations to restaurant/activity reservations to packing your luggage to checking you in for your flight and printing your boarding passes! Made me feel like a celebrity!
All this means we spent most of our time at the Villa with no particular desire or need to leave the complex. From the moment you wake up and go to any of the lounges or dining areas, Kade and her staff are ready with coffee, fresh juice, fresh fruit platter and your custom order for breakfast. I spent a couple of hours each morning enjoying my coffee and breakfast and got a lot of work done as well as the incredible view definitely helped with my productivity:)
There is an in house chef that prepares sumptuous Thai and western dishes and we had most of our meals at the villa. Thai, Italian, seafood, barbecue, Indian and vegetarian were among our menus. The staff will shop for your ingredients and prepare your meals according to your desires; something that’s hard to get at other 5-star resorts, especially for every meal. Some of us even shopped at the local markets with the staff and chose ingredients for our meals.
We also spent hours in the infinity pool and gym/recreation room and all the while with an attentive staff that cater to your needs, be it a drink, cold towel or even new ping pong balls! We also had daily massages, manicures and pedicures in house and it’s a luxury when having to decide where at the villa to have your massage. It can be in your room, in the pool loungers, in the open-air living room or wherever you’re in the mood for.
It was a truly memorable holiday and I will definitely be back at Villa Saan.
I booked this villa for a group of 11, utilizing all 8 bedrooms. The villa is in a great condition, exactly as pictured. All the rooms have bathrooms attached with beautiful views. The only smaller room without an ocean view is the 8th room downstairs but it is attached to a garden.
The villa has amazing amenities with large common areas, infinity pool, billiards room, movie room, gym, and BBQ area. The staff was absolutely amazing. There were 5 employees along with 3 trainees when we visited. Every single person went above and beyond to cater to our needs with great professionalism and a smile on their faces. The villa also has a private chef who provided us with delicious meals to our specification. We asked for a seafood BBQ dinner and they truly delivered. We felt truly pampered.
The best part of the villa is the ocean view. The view from the pool is incredible at sunset. I also loved sitting on the pool chair in the morning while looking out at the peaceful ocean.
The price was really great for what we got, especially since the same number of bedrooms in a 5-star resort would have cost us more per night and we would not have had such attentive service round-the-clock. I believe they have different rates based on how many bedrooms with be utilized, starting at 5 bedrooms so if I am coming with a larger party, I would definitely book this villa again. I also almost booked their sister villa right next door with an attached walkway that has 6 bedrooms for another group to join us.
I dont usually write reviews but I couldnt help myself in sharing my recent stay at Villa Saan.
Recently stayed at Villa Saan in Phuket and while I’ve been to PK numerous times this has to be the most luxurious and favorite villas I stayed in Phuket. Sitting on a prime location in the center of Kamala Beach cove near its peak needless to say it has a spectacular view. You can tell w the very modern design and the art works they put a lot of thought into building the place.
Personal question for you: Are you are a sunrise person or a sunset person. Regardless and whichever you prefer you have an amazing view over the infinity pool of both. There’s got to be a pic on TA somewhere.
Didn’t have to lift a finger. Staff/chef shop every morning for freshest ingredients at the local mart to prepare excellent and healthy meals of your request (vegan, low carb, paleo etc) — special thanks.
Others. Gym: Good gym is important to me personally and most villas have a shabby gym w a treadmill thats outdated and few weights. Not here. State of the art equipments. Even the table tennis balls are replaced immediately - - it gets competitive.
To add to this (and mentioned) there is a massive infinity pool, a pool table and a movie room next to the bar serving top shelf spirits. I said this villa should be on show be on MTV show “cribs” if that was still around!
Strong recommendation for family and good close friends to have relaxing getaway w/o all the hassle. The place is big w 8 or 9 rooms so you can split costs between friends. That way it may be more cost efficient vs get your hotel rooms in some Patong area!
This villa is located on 'millionaires row' between Patong and Kamala Beach perched on the cliff edge with the most amazing views across the water. Quiet area with easy access to Patong and alll it has to offer or the more upmarket clubs and restraints of Kamala Beach .
The villa itself is well equipped with everything you and your guests will need for a relaxing and entertaining holiday. The rooms are a good size by Australian or USA standards with 6 of the rooms being queen sized doubles and the other two with twin beds.
Equipped with a gym, table tennis and pool tables as well as a 10 seater media room and great bar area with all the necessary facilities. Great infinity pool that looks out over the cliffs to the sea, with an additional plunge pool on the front of the master suite at top of villa. Truly spectacular.
The villa staff are excellent and the Villa manager spoke excellent English and was able to translate into Thai more complex requirements for the chef and villa staff if required. Villa staff and Chef spoke basic English and all were attentive and helpful. The chef cooks an amazing English breakfast and Thai food can be selected from a menu to prepare in the evenings. The food was easily restaurant standard and there is no need to go further afield.
The bedrooms are all ensues, most with a shower and have all the necessary resources you would expect. If you need anything the staff get it for you very quickly.
The villa manager can arrange transport, restaurant or sightseeing bookings for you as well as recommend food etc.
This is a truly 5*+ villa experience with the attentive and helpful staff that you would expect for a villa of this quality.
The only thing you might need to be aware of is that all the expenses you charge at the villa have to be paid in cash to the villa manager (no facilities to use a credit/charge card) and so we needed to access over 100K of Baht, in cash, to pay all the additional villa charges!
We were a group of 12 staying at Villa Saan and we all had a fabulous time. The villa has an amazing location in Kamala with gorgeous views of the ocean. The bedrooms were well spread apart so there was plenty of privacy even for such a big group.
The villa has a beautiful open-sided living room with a dramatic archway (this is the best spot for taking in the views). There’s also an air-conditioned living and dining room, which is always nice in the tropical weather.
The best part has got to be the cinema room - wow! Reclining business class seats and a huge screen with Apple TV connections… perfect for a movie night! There’s also a billiard room with a bar next to this room and an outdoor Jacuzzi in the master bedroom. We definitely had a lot of fun at this villa!
The villa was impeccably clean and the staff were super helpful in organising day trips and transport in the area. And what a luxury to have your own private chef! The food was so good that we ended up dining in most nights.
We loved our stay at Villa Baan and will definitely be back.
This is the best villa that i know in Phuket, My friends and I was traveling to try several villas and and this is my favorite villa :) I arrived in the evening from Phuket airport and the staff really welcome, they provide lunch for us which really delicious food, I sleep in master Bedroom in second floor right side with big bathroom and also private jacuzzi , and the next morning they provide a breakfast with really high standard
