As you enter through the main gate, the looming presence of a Dutch home will greet you immediately. The luscious gardens in front wind their way towards the back of the villa where you have the newly-renovated modern wing with two levels of glass walls. The stunning panorama is dominated by a vast land with lush gardens growing with native, fruit trees. The patio is equipped with chairs from where you can enjoy the view. The 11-meter swimming pool is perfect for morning laps as you enjoy the rush offered by the naturally-rich gardens.
Encompassing a mix of both modern and traditional values, the living area at Villa Siriwimal is spectacularly designed. The large glass walls run the length of the back wall offering unobstructed views of the garden. The rich interiors are an eclectic blend of rustic, retro vibes with a contemporary vivacity. The first floor has a study/work desk with an Apple computer and space to work on your own laptops. As string lights wind their way along with the various corners, the hip and trendy living room come to life.
Comfortable seating with bright, yellow chairs, a faux leather couch, and armchairs overlooking the garden provides ample space for you to rest. The walls are adorned with pop art and other striking artworks. You can relish delicious local and western feasts in the dining area that is ideal for cherished meals with your loved ones. The fully-equipped kitchen resides in the corner, also designed with an open layout. It has all the modern appliances and amenities you need to prepare your own meals, appetizers, and beverages. The villa is wired with 6 SONOS speakers for surround sound. The record player is the cherry on top with its retro feel.
Villa Siriwimal is home to three bedrooms, one is the master bedroom found on the first floor and the remaining two bedrooms are on the ground floor. While the master bedroom is adjoined to a private balcony, the other two are easier to access from the pool. The bedrooms are spacious and bright with the sunlight streaming in. They are decorated with pleasing colors, artwork, and comfortable seating. King beds or single beds grace the rooms for a comfortable sleep. The master bedroom enjoys its own ensuite bathroom while the guest rooms share an open-air bathroom.
The villa is fully staffed and they are available at all times to address any concerns you may have. From housekeeping to linen change, everything is taken care of as per your convenience. The villa offers the use of two scooters at an extra rental cost and you can even request a massage. Guests get a 10% discount at the nearby restaurant, Bangkok Kitchen.
Weligama is a thriving, picturesque, and idyllic location with a stunning beach and the popular Weligama Bay, known for surfing. Tangalle, originally known as Sinhala, is a large town in Hambantota District, Southern Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council. It is one of the largest towns in the southern province and the gateway to the wide-open spaces and beaches of southeast Sri Lanka. It is located 195 km south of Colombo and 35 km east of Matara, protected from the ocean by an enclosing reef. The town’s name means "projected rock", referring to the rocks which form the coastline of the town, which come in contrast with the sandy beach of the surrounding areas. Another version is that it derived from ran-gala or "golden rock", which refers to a local legend where a holy man once ate a meal there and the rock was turned to gold. Tangalla was originally a small fishing village, and fishing is still the main income for many of the locals. The village suffered many losses from the tsunami in 2004, and rebuilding has met a slow pace. The beaches are not crowded with tourists and are very peaceful. Tangalla is a center of tourism and a popular holiday destination on the south coast. In the town center, there is an old Dutch fort, currently serving as a prison. The Dutch and the British used Tangalle as an important anchorage on the island. A few remaining samples of colonial Dutch architecture are the infamous Dutch Fort, the Rest House and the Court House.
