Sielen Diva consists of seven rooms that vary in size and elevations on the property. The rooms have been decorated in a warm yet contemporary style with all rooms featuring unique art pieces personally sourced by the family. In tribute to Sri Lanka's abundance of wildlife, the villa's seven bedrooms have been named after Sri Lankan animals. The main living space of the property, the living room has several seating areas with comfortable chairs and sofas for guests to while away the hours with a book or board games from the collection. The Property's 14 seater dining table is also in the living room. Crafted from a single piece of wood, the 17-foot dining table is ideal for communal eating.
“Baba’s Den” is the hotel's game room and is named after the family’s youngest daughter. It is equipped with a foosball table, a pool table, a darts board, a poker set, television, DVD player, and numerous books, DVDs, and board games. There is a badminton net just outside the game room for matches on the grass. Colorful deckchairs line the infinity pool which looks out over the beach and the Indian Ocean. There are two outdoor dining spaces on either side of the pool where guests can enjoy an alfresco meal or drinks and snacks throughout the day. Stairs lead down from the pool area to the lower garden level from which there is direct beach access.
Galle is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the southwestern tip, 119 km from Colombo and the administrative capital of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District. Galle in the 16th century was the main port on the island and it is the best example of a fortified city built by the Portuguese in the whole South and Southeast Asia, displaying the interaction between Portuguese architectural styles and native traditions. The city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. The Galle Fort is a world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. This historic city is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and museums that exhale a retro atmosphere with an aristocratic scent. Wandering its rambling streets you'll pass stylish cafes and boutiques and impeccably restored hotels mostly owned by local and foreign artists, writers, photographers and designers that took great care to maintain their initial glamor and sparkle. For all the above reasons, most travelers are utterly seduced by Galle's ambiance, and it's undoubtedly southern Sri Lanka is a place not to be missed.
