After a lovely breakfast on the outdoor dining terrace overlooking the Caribbean Sea, you can begin a day relaxing around the villa or exploring the many natural wonders of the Riviera Maya.
Esprit del Mar’s infinity-edged pool is crowned with an oversized whirlpool for eight where the “hard work” of mid-winter beach-front sunbathing can be cooled down. The terraced garden has an elevated beach-sand area with loungers for tanning, reading, or just gazing at the sea. This rock-bound beach-sand area has a firepit for night celebrations or telling family stories around the bonfire. Walk down the path to the small rocky bay and enter the sandy-bottomed sea for an uplifting swim in the soothing Caribbean Sea.
The 3,000 sq. ft. rooftop has two palapa-covered open-air rooms. Take a mid-day rooftop complimentary massage, read a book in the shaded outdoor living room, or come up to this magical spot to experience a spectacular sunset over the jungle in the west with your complimentary margarita. If going out to one of the area’s wonderful restaurants is not in your plans, the villa chef will prepare and serve a sumptuous meal in the breath-taking dining room.
Esprit del Mar has nine sumptuous air-conditioned suits – offering 250-300 sq. ft. each. Eight of the nine-bedrooms feature plush king-size beds wrapped in the finest bedding. The oversized Master Bedroom is a 1,000 sq. ft. suite with private balcony. All other bedrooms on the main house have stunning views of the sea. Withing the lush green jungle of the region Esprit del Mar features five garden suits with unparalleled peace and quiet, each of them with private balcony seating areas, hanging hammocks and “chukun” bathrooms (beautiful local Mayan material). One of the bedrooms on the main house is for adventurers (or children), complete with two sets of bunk beds, beautiful ocean views and outdoor sleeping bed on the balcony overlooking the jungle. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms – either with showers or hand-made bathtubs. All bedrooms offer air conditioning.
Tulum is located in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, approximately 90 minutes south of Cancun and one hour from the famous Playa del Carmen. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. One of the most important sites in Tulum is its Mayan ruins, located on a cliff with breathtaking views to the Caribbean Sea. This iconic site is the only one located on a seashore.Under the cliff, you will find Paradise beach which is considered one of the best beaches in the Riviera Maya, from which excursions are organized to the famous Mesoamerican Reef Barrier. The Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve measures half a million hectares and covers all possible scenarios: beaches, coral reefs, rainforest, dunes and natural wells.
