Located on the second ‘piano nobile’, Anice is the largest and most spectacular apartment in Palazzo Morosini Degli Spezieri. This stately residence includes a large living room, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a dine-in kitchen, and gorgeous canal views. Towering ceilings, mesmerising canal views, stylish custom-made Italian furnishings make this space a royal dwelling.
On entering is the living room, bedecked with a plump sofa and coffee table over a soft, long-threaded carpet. Two french windows with a balcony overlook the charming canal of St Agostin and afford picturesque vistas of Venice. The 6.45-metre ceilings are painted a dove-grey and are framed by a bronze stucco moulding. The walls are a light colour, while the terrazzo floor is beige with dusky pink and black flecks. Furniture and textiles are in varying muted hues of blue and lilac against a neutral backdrop of beige, grey, and off-white colours.
To the right of the living room is the first bedroom, with four large windows overlooking the canal and square. Its tall, beamed ceiling is painted dove-grey. Pavements are a light shade of oak, both in the room and in the en suite bathroom which boasts a large tub in Istrian stone. The second bedroom is located to the left of the living room and counts three large canal-facing windows. Also here pavements are in oak, walls are covered in Rubelli fabric, while the beamed ceilings are painted in dove-grey. A step away is a luxurious bathroom featuring a bull’s-eye window on the canal and a large shower. The bathroom is fitted with high-end accessories, such as Istrian stone vanity and walk-in shower, mirrors, Murano glass sconces, and custom made cabinetry. An independent hallway leads to a dine-in kitchen and a third bedroom and bathroom. Both locales face the garden and canal and are appointed with light oak floors. The spacious kitchen overlooks the palace’s inner court.
The apartment’s interior design features a combination of materials from Corian, used for the central island, to oxidised brass for the kitchen stools and cabinets, to stained steel and glass. The walls are painted a beige colour, while the beamed ceiling is white. A harmonious palette of muted greys and blues is used for the bedrooms’ accessories to offset the neutral colours of the apartment’s surfaces. The walls and ceilings are treated with a dove-grey finish, while the terrazzo marble floors have a prevailing beige tone, enriched by black and pink flecks of colour. Draperies and cushions are in precious hand-painted fabrics by Fortuny and Rubelli, while accessories include Murano glass designer vases. For lighting, a mix of floor lamps, lamp sets, and indirect illumination is used to create different degrees and effects of lighting. The vibe is contemporary with the use of geometrical and clear lines softened by local accents in the use of glass and traditional embroidered textiles.

All apartments are located in the lively and central San Polo district, which takes its name from its main square, the largest in Venice after Piazza San Marco and from its church. Certainly the most important area in this district is Rialto, with its bridge, the typical fish and vegetable market and the church of San Giacomo di Rialto considered the oldest in Venice. Of great architectural and artistic importance are also the Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari and the Chiesa di San Rocco.
