Logge del Perugino Resort Umbria is complemented by richly decorated, ornamental cushions, 19th-century paintings, and floral compositions. The floors throughout the villa are made by the renowned craftsmen of Sassi di Assisi. By the entrance hall, on the right, there is a small American bar, with the reception and the breakfast hall to the left. In the elegant drawing rooms inviting armchairs and sofas, positioned around the fireplace, are upholstered in luxurious Spanish linen velvet, with floral designs of warm colors terracotta reds, soft greens, corn yellows, and apricot pinks. The classical stripe of the curtains echoes the same color scheme. In the antique bookcase, there is a selection of books for the guests' use. In the garden, there is a splendid, curvilinear swimming pool, with hydro-massage and a mosaic floor.

The spacious 24 rooms, decorated in country house style, have comfortable beds with floral bedcovers, a small writing desk, and have a view of either the garden or the valley. The dark green carpet soundproofs the rooms. All rooms are equipped with an individual air conditioning system, a minibar, a satellite TV, a safe and a direct telephone line with access to the Internet.

About the Location

Italy, Umbria, Perugia

Perugia is a beautiful medieval city in Umbria, rich in history and art, and its surroundings include evident elements of the Etruscan and the Roman civilizations. The modern part of town is dominated by the presence of its prestigious university which creates a pleasant buzz. There are interesting attractions and a vibrant day scene as well as nightlife with great restaurants and nightspots that make it a very lively place. The historical center displays labyrinth alleys, beautiful arched stairways, and piazzas framed by magnificent palazzi. Its location is offered for daily excursions to places such as Assisi, Spello, and Gubbio. Perugia is just a couple of hours drive north of Rome.

Important sights in the city include the Etrurian Well that is not only a historical site, but is today still the main water source in the city. Besides the well, there are many Etrurian tombs. The 'artistic' center of Perugia revolves around Piazza IV Novembre, where still stands part of the walls that once belonged to the Etruscan city and were accessed using the ancient gates such as the Porta della Mandorla, Porta Marzia and Porta Trasimeno. Other sights of religious importance are the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Basilica of San Domenico and San Pietro church.

Umbria is a famous region of Central Italy crossed by the beautiful River Tiber. Well known for its old cathedral churches and beautiful villages. It is a less traveled region in Central Italy with many advantages over Tuscany. It is the smallest region in Italy and it doesn’t have a coastline or border with another country. It is an ideal country for those who want to experience Italian art, history, culture and cuisine.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
