The layout of the villa complex recalls that of a small ancient hamlet complete with panoramic views, romantically framed corners, curious passageways and the solidity of a structure providing a sense of strength and protection. Encircling the villa is a well-groomed garden of herbs and flowers, spreading slowly out towards the woods and mingling with the natural vegetation covering the surrounding landscape.
This location imparts peace, serenity and relaxation to all of those arriving here; it is, in fact, the perfect spot for a vacation in contact with nature without ever sacrificing modern comforts.
The large swimming pool (6m x 12m x 1.40m) lets guests enjoy lovely summer days refreshing themselves in its waters and taking in the splendid scenery. The patio, cool and ventilated, is the ideal place for enjoying a meal or simply sipping a glass of wine at sunset. The large Jacuzzi located inside the villa annexe is designed with wooden-beamed ceilings and wide windows for enjoying the panorama; it offers just another spot for private relaxation or romantic moments.
The furnishings give the house the personal character of a” family home”. The rooms are full of antique “cotto” floors, beams in the ceiling, a large fireplace, antique furniture and modern design pieces. Guests can re-discover the slow rhythm of the past and the pleasure of finding themselves in an intimate and romantic atmosphere, surrounded by warmth and comfort- an ideal frame for delightful relaxation and unforgettable privacy.
Villa Borgo Gerlino Tuscany is composed of 9 double bedrooms with bathrooms, all with 22” Full HD TV, for a total of 18 guests-plus 2 (two of the bedrooms are triple and 7 of the remaining double beds can be converted it two singles as needed). Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower. There is a wi-fi connection in the whole house. There is also a lounge room with fireplace, 46” Full HD TV, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The whole structure is equipped with a floor cooling or heating system.
The main villa consists of the ground floor, the mezzanine floor, and the first floor. The villa is equipped with a wood oven, and in the annexe, you can find a health area with a Jacuzzi for 6 people, a sauna for 5 and a UVA lamp. The garden offers a beautiful swimming pool with the possibility of heating the water for the evening. Near the pool there is a gazebo, which is equipped with an outdoor lounge, behind which there is an outdoor table with chairs covered by a sail, in order to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner outside, maybe using BBQ or brick oven.
Arezzo is located in southeastern Tuscany at the crossroads of four valleys: the Val Tiberina, Casentino, Valdarno, and Valdichiana. This place played an important role in the history of Tuscany and has many artifacts to display. The ancient origins of the city are verified by the stone tools and the so-called Man of the Elm who was discovered here, dating back to the Paleolithic era. The original foundation of the city was Etruscan dating back to the 9th century B.C.
Today Arezzo boasts a wide range of sites to see including fortresses, monuments, churches, and museums that will take its visitors back in time. The benchmark of the city is the Church of San Francesco with the incredible Early Renaissance fresco by Piero Della Francesca depicting the Legend of the True Cross. Have an espresso at the impressive Piazza Grande, where they also hold a jousting matching twice a year, and don’t miss the Medicean Fortress. Visit the Cathedral dedicated to San Donato, as well as the Church of San Domenico with the wooden Crucifix by Cimabue.
Arezzo may not be in the first line of options while thinking of traveling to Tuscany yet it is a hidden gem that will provide its guests with an authentic view of a typical city of the region which has managed to maintain its traditions, its architecture, and its charm.
