REVIEW SCORE

Villa San Marco The Marches is a luxury villa rental with 5 bedrooms and a private pool.  Large interiors and outdoor areas offer the best welcome to guests at Villa San Marco, a manor house overlooking the hills of Le Marche countryside between the medieval fortresses of Mondavio and Mondolfo, a few kilometers from the beach of Marotta. Here everything is bright and spacious. Whether you decide to spend a day outdoors or prefer to stay inside, it doesn’t matter.

On the ground floor, there is a large entrance hall, a large living room with Smart TV, and a stone fireplace. Another beautiful stone fireplace is located in the large modern and well-equipped kitchen. Then there is the reading room, a service bathroom, and the laundry area. On the first floor, there is another reading room, made out from the balcony, the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a second and a third double bedroom, the latter with a mezzanine floor. The last two bedrooms are served by a large bathroom with a tub and shower. Inside, high-quality furniture and styles create an elegant and very welcoming atmosphere.

Outside the fenced swimming pool and the garden with tables and chairs that allow guests to have lunch and dinner outside and, above all, relax make this venue a heaven-like place. In addition to the main house for guests, there is also an annex with a patio which features a nice living room with an adjoining kitchen and two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower.

In the close proximity of Villa San Marco, some typical towns of the Le Marche region are known for the production of terracottas and olive oil but also excellent wineries and larger cities where there are cultural centers, museums, castles, and hilltop villages that deserve more than a quick visit.

About the Location

Italy, The Marches, Pesaro

Pesaro is the second largest city in the Marche region and a harmonic blend of a charming historic center with a bustling port and light industry. Pesaro rests along the Adriatic Coast, boasting crystalline beaches. It is the last city before the Marche meets Emilia Romagna.

Pesaro is renowned as the hometown of famous composer Gioachino Rossini whose name has embellished a street, a theater and a music conservatory. The prolific composer wrote dozens of scores, including The Barber of Seville and the operatic Cinderella. Pesaro hosts a prestigious Rossini Opera Festival annually. The Teatro Rossini is a lavish place of great luxury evident to every detail.

The Renaissance beauty of this city comes alive in its palaces and piazzas. The imposing Palazzo Toschi-Mosca was built in the 1500s by a merchant family called Mosca. It was frequented by some of the elite of the era such as Casanova, Stendhal and Napoleon who were guests in their palazzo. Today it is home to the civic art gallery that can be enjoyed along with the regal rooms. Palazzo Lazzarini, built in the 17th century, hosts an art collection in the Diocesan Museum. Palazzo Almerici, is today home to the prestigious Biblioteca Oliveriana, a library with rare volumes, as well as the archeology museum.

Via Rossini is the main street through the center where the Duomo is found; its floors carpeted with amazing mosaics. The Palazzo Ducale, on Piazza del Popolo, is one of the city's landmarks, built by the Malatesta family.

A short walk from the historic center brings you to the seafront, lined with cedar trees and sandy beaches. Baia Flaminia is a nice beach, leading off from the north end of the port and bringing you to the entrance of the park of San Bartolo. Tramonto sul Molo will offer a unique sunset, the only one in the Adriatic, and this is why the city organizes a summer sunset party to celebrate it every Thursday evening from June through August.

Marche is one of the twenty regions of Italy, located at its center. The region stretches for around 100 miles along the Adriatic coast. Marche is a relatively undiscovered land of Italy with respect to the better known Tuscany and other regions. Well known for its shoemaking tradition this place is a hidden gem!

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
