REVIEW SCORE

Villa Gioia The Marches is a luxury villa rental with 4 bedrooms and a private pool. Villa Gioia has restored in 2018 with the restoration of a typical farmhouse in Le Marche countryside thanks to the love of the owners Lauro and Giusi for this place where you can breathe an air of peace and serenity, away from traffic and with an extraordinary landscape view that on one side embraces the rolling hills of Le Marche giving an excellent view to the Monte Conero and on the other it has Cingoli, the “Balcony of the Marche”, as if watching over it.

Villa Gioia The Marches is located at the center of the estate, among the olive groves that are cultivated adopting the method of organic farming, both for an ecological and healthy conscience and for preserving an autochthonous olive variety of the Cingoli territory, the Mignola, from which it is extracted an excellent and very special extra virgin olive oil.

Outside this wonderful and welcoming place, in its large garden, you can relax in the solarium, enjoy the beautiful swimming pool complete with hydromassage and use the barbecue for a dinner under the pergola.

The entrance of this villa with pool opens, at the ground floor, on the living area, wherein a harmonious blend of contemporary furnishings and recovery of tradition we find a large living room with fireplace and a dining room next to a fully equipped kitchen where you can enjoy your holiday in complete autonomy and without time constraints.

On the first floor, there are the 4 rooms, each deliberately with a different style in which you can feel a warm and cozy atmosphere and is able to accommodate up to a maximum of 9 people.

Villa Gioia The Marches is part of a dwelling born from the restoration of a small convent dating back to the 1600s, which in addition to offering accommodation in 5 other rooms, has another swimming pool with a heated whirlpool, a small restaurant where you can savor the typical cuisine and buy directly the organic oil and other products of the company, to remember, even at home, the tastes and flavors of what was savored during the holiday in this place that loves the traditions and hospitality of the Marche region. Here we are in the land of Verdicchio and it is possible to make guided tastings in the countless wineries of the area.

Nearby, finally, do not miss a visit to some fascinating attractions such as the Verde Azzurro holiday center with a vast water park with swimming pools, slides for adults and children, the Grand Canyon river, and an extensive lagoon with hydro-massage, games water and snack bar.

Also worth a visit is the lake of Castreccioni with its pleasant beaches, but above all the town of Cingoli rich in art and history, churches and abbeys, and collections, like the sidecar museum, with really rare pieces. Trekking enthusiasts, either by mountain bike or e-bike hire in Cingoli with or without a guide, can enter the various mapped paths that run through the woods surrounding Cingoli.

Not far away also the Frasassi Caves, jewels like the medieval city of Treia, Recanati, Jesi, the basilica of Loreto, the Sferisterio of Macerata, and the coast of Conero are all worth a visit.

About the Location

Italy, The Marches, Macerata

The city of Macerata is located between the Adriatic Sea and Apennine Mountains in the area of Marche, within a postcard-perfect setting which includes rolling hills carpeted with olive groves and vineyards. With a strong cultural presence, it has a fair place among the cultural capitals of the Marches.

Macerata met its peak during the Renaissance period and a testimony of this is the many palazzi lining its streets. It is a beautiful and lively city with many cultural events, the most important of which is the annual Opera Festival held every July in a classical style open-air amphitheater. Piazza della Liberta' is the city's focal point where everyone gathers and is home to the Gothic cathedral dedicated to San Giuliano. The arcades of the Loggia dei Mercanti are the gem of the city, while the Lauro Rossi theater, built in 1774, is an awe evoking building. Palazzo Ricci houses a contemporary art gallery and a natural history museum. The Basilicata of Santa Maria di Misericordia has an impressive marble-clad interior, and of course you can’t miss the high clock tower, Torre Civica, 64 meters tall where from the views are amazing. In the old part of the town do not miss the pretty palaces, especially Palazzo dei Diamanti, named for the stone diamond-decorated facade.

Macerata reinforces its strong cultural fame with a university, a music school and an arts academy. Outside the city, worth visiting are the Roman remains of Helvia Recina at Villa Potenza, which dates to the 2nd century BC, and the pretty Romanesque church of San Claudio, in the homonymous hamlet. Around the province, you'll find a lot of outlet shops with famous brands at great bargains. A bit off the center are Urbisaglia and its Archeological Park, the Medieval village and the Abbey of Chiaravalle di Fiastra, a peaceful oasis within a nature reserve. For those looking for relaxation, the area offers thermal spas in Sarnano and Tolentino.

Marche is one of the twenty regions of Italy, located at its center. The region stretches for around 100 miles along the Adriatic coast. Marche is a relatively undiscovered land of Italy with respect to the better known Tuscany and other regions. Well known for its shoemaking tradition this place is a hidden gem!

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
