With its 500 square meters of surface, it has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, with bidet and shower, a living room with exclusive seating area and a dining area, a well-equipped kitchen with a large central island with dishwasher, oven microwave, refrigerator, five-burner hob, sink, grill pan, a blast chiller to eat raw fish without risk and a table for 8, where you can eat from morning breakfast to dinner, overlooking the pool and the garden.
The rooms have wireless internet, an independent HiFi system, and air conditioning as well as a sitting area. Overall Villa Famosa can host up to 10 people. All the outdoor spaces are to be experienced with a big solarium where you can find real double or single canopy sunbeds, chaise longues, deck chairs, and parasols. At the center of this space, there is a large swimming pool where you can cool off on hot summer days but also dive after sunset thanks to the illumination at night.
Outside you will also find a brick paved patio with a table and chairs, a nice gazebo, and a barbecue area. All the external areas of the Villa have an audio system to listen to each kind of music. Thanks to the organic garden you can cook freshly harvested products, from tomatoes to aubergines, peppers, courgettes, aromatic herbs, strawberries.
On mild sunny days or for evenings with friends you will find the large living room with grand piano and fireplace, large white sofas, white and black marble floors, white ceilings with exposed beams, antiques, and unique furnishings.
A mix of modern and ancient is the sign that distinguishes the whole house, which is organized with taste and imagination in the comfortable rooms of the living and sleeping areas. You can also find a billiard room, an attraction for carefree hours and evenings, and a fitness center for body care.
The center of Syracuse is only 5 kilometers away, the island of Ortigia 4 kilometers, the Greek Theater 6 kilometers, the Punta della Mola beach and Terrauzza beach less than 2 kilometers, the lighthouse of Punta Castelluccio is 5 minutes away by car, Catania Fontanarossa airport less than an hour's drive away.
The Villa also has private parking.
The city of Siracusa was the most important city Magna Grecia for a period and declared by Cicero to be it's most beautiful, as well. The great city-state had a population of 300,000 at its peak and surpassed Athens in the Peloponnesian War. For a few centuries, Syracuse enjoyed unrivaled economic, political and military power. It was mentioned in the Bible in the book of Acts as a location that St. Paul stayed on his way to Rome. Today, it's still a beautiful spot littered with remnants of its ancient past, making it a wonderful city to explore.
The archeological area of Siracusa had loads of monuments, including temples, a theater, an amphitheater, and a necropolis. The wealth of artifacts found during excavations are on display in the city's various museums, most notably its Archeology Museum and the municipal museum in Municipio building. Ancient history surrounds you during a visit to Siracusa. Visit the historic center located on an isthmus where a mix of Medieval and Baroque provide a delightful blending in the narrow streets. Even here, the ancient past creeps up, like at the Fonte of Arethusa, a mythical spring-fed fountain tied to legend and the Temple of Apollo, a 7th century BC site that was the first great Doric temple in Sicily.
The beautiful baroque Duomo is dedicated to St. Lucy who was born and martyred here and occupies the site of a former temple, incorporating some of the columns into its design. The feast day of St. Lucy is December 15 and is an important festival here. Across from it is the fanciful Palazzo Benevantano, a riot of splendid Sicilian Baroque. Wander the area and enjoy the shops, cafes and colorful morning market that sells fruits and vegetables and other goodies from the fertile fields outside the town.
On the point of the historic center's "island" is the Castello Maniace, a stalwart presence here since it was built by Frederick II in 1239. There is the unusual feature of the Byzantine Miqwe, Jewish baths, that can be seen at the hotel Residenza alla Giudecca. The Galleria Regional di Palazzo Bellomo is the city's best art museum with a nice selection of sculptures and paintings, including a Caravaggio. There are many beautiful buildings to see as you wander the historic center. The city has a gorgeous port flanked by palms and palazzi. All told, Siracusa is a place to explore the past but enjoy the lively atmosphere and abundant eateries and cafes of the present.

It is a true gem of Southern Italy and is a place with abundant nature and rich history and traditions along with outstanding architecture. Sicily also involves three volcanos, with the most famous being Etna which adds one more color to the unique palette of this mythical island.
