show more details

Villa Eco-Lodge Sicily is a fantastic property surrounded by nature, just a few meters from the sea and the famous Fornace Penna. The property has been built with total respect for the environment and represents the ideal destination for those looking for an eco-sustainable holiday, dedicated to relaxation and tranquility. The access to the property is through a narrow street of about 800 meters that runs along the sea, crossing the Mediterranean vegetation. The house is entirely on the ground floor and consists of a kitchen-living room and 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

Villa Eco-Lodge Sicily has a 6kw photovoltaic system that, through batteries, allows to have enough electricity during the night. However, to rationalize consumption, the property only has the essential appliances, including the fridge, freezer, oven, TV, ceiling fans, wi-fi, and 1 hairdryer. There is, therefore, no air conditioners, dishwasher, washing machine or microwave. Earthy colors, oversized glass doors and windows, and contemporary décor combine within the villa to create a relaxing atmosphere that contrasts delightfully with the vibrant turquoise blues and lush greens of the area.

About the Location

Italy, Sicily, Sampieri

The seaside hamlet of Sampieri is located along the southeastern coast of Sicily, about 40 km from Ragusa and 11 km from Scicli. The majestic and panoramic beach of Sampieri is surrounded by a pine forest and is 2 km long. The beach, whose last part is called Pisciotto, ends in a high cliff where you can dive and snorkel in a clear sea. The golden and fine sand, the shallow waters and the presence of many services, including two beach clubs renting deckchairs, umbrellas and pedal boats, as well as a beach volleyball court, bars and restaurants, make it a suitable place for those who want to spend a relaxing day at the beach. Moreover, behind the beach, there is a pine forest, which provides a shaded area with picnic tables, and a large paying parking. Being one of the favorite destinations of the local tourists, Sampieri could be particularly crowded in July and August, but, thanks to the length of the beach, just walk a few steps from the beach club areas to enjoy more space and tranquility. Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club have counted it among the most beautiful beaches in Italy and included in the "Blue Guide 2014".

Sampieri, a small seaside hamlet of Scicli, consists of a pretty village of stone houses and paved streets situated on a spur of limestone between two beaches of fine golden sand. The renowned wide and panoramic promenade is characterized by a summer lively nightlife, thanks to the presence of numerous hotels and resorts in the area. Sampieri opens the summer season with the "Tomato Festival", on the 1st May, an event that offers a unique opportunity to meet with the natural beauties and the culinary specialties of this territory.

Sicily is the largest of the Italian islands, separated from the Continent by the Strait of Messina and washed by the Ionian, the Tyrrhenian, and the Mediterranean Seas. It is a true gem of Southern Italy and is a place with abundant nature and rich history and traditions along with outstanding architecture. Nature here seems to have embraced all its versions: mountains, hills, and above all the most magnificent azure sea, with its crystal-clear water and the impeccable beauty of its colorful seabed. Sicily also involves three volcanos, with the most famous being Etna which adds one more color to the unique palette of this mythical island.

The birthplace of the Roman Empire and Renaissance, Italy, showcases many of the world’s greatest artworks, architectural buildings and over the top gastronomical proposals. This is the country where the word “style” expresses the whole nation. Italy has more Unesco World Heritage cultural sites than any other country; among them are Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Michelangelo’s David and Sistine Chapel and da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
