Haniotis is a lovely holiday resort, located 64km southeast of Poligiros, the main town of Halkidiki, in the eastern part of the peninsula of Kassandra and is most popular with couples and families. It displays a lengthy beach with clear and warm turquoise waters, attracting many tourists every summer. It is a partly organized beach with sea beds and tourist amenities and it involves white sand and emerald waters that give out a sense of the Caribbean. Since it is just partly organized one can easily find more secluded spots to relax. The coast is dotted with tourist facilities and plenty of water sports options. Around Haniotis there are several fresh fish taverns and nice cafes. There are vast forests in the mountains near Haniotis, that provide great views and farmlands are found along the coast.
Halkidiki is the most popular tourist destination in northern Greece. It is a peninsula divided into three smaller parts, known as the three legs of Halkidiki. The first leg and most popular one is Kassandra with plenty of tourist resorts and organized beaches. The second peninsula is Sithonia, with less organized resorts and more secluded coves. The third peninsula, Mount Athos, is a nearby monastic community where entrance is allowed only to men and after special permission. Very interesting is a boat trip from Ouranoupolis that makes the tour of Mount Athos, a region with lovely beaches and impressive Byzantine monasteries. he pool is nice, the view is great, and the villa in itself is pretty neat as well, with two bathrooms and space for 8 people, if we are not counting the couch. They offered to clean after day one, although we did not need that. The neighbors did not complain about us buying on the louder side. As we were at a bachelor party, we are grateful for that. We arranged the pick up of the keys upfront and the lady were there waiting for us.
