Callisto villa is located in Gyri of Zakynthos island. Gyri is a small village in the mountainous center of the island with only 35 permanent residents. In this small hidden paradise, the only colors that dominate are the white of the rocks and the green of the forests that surround it. However, the shortest beach is only 12.5km away and you can visit every beach on the Northwest side of the island in less than an hour. Gyri is one of the oldest villages in Zakynthos, established in the 15th century with a very high altitude of about 550 meters above sea level. Located in the center of the island, it offers spectacular views of the surrounding verdant nature. In proximity to Giri, visitors can explore the Hayiotis Cave which is 60 meters deep and displays beautiful rock formations. Gyri is a very tranquil and rural village, as most villages found on the western coast of Zakynthos. It is an ideal place to relax and come closer to nature leaving the hustle and bustle of the crowded places behind. For hiking lovers, the top of Mount Vrachionas with its 753 meters above sea level could be a nice challenge since it can be reached on foot.

The villa was super comfortable and clean and had everything that we needed for our stay provided. The beds were very comfortable and each room has an own AC. There is a washing machine in the kitchen which is a big relief when you are with many people and I absolutely loved the coffee machine(seriously I am considering buying the same). The villa itself is super cozy and is located away from the crowded places which was perfect in the case of world pandemic.
