Tsoukalades is a mountainous village located 6 km west of the capital town. It is situated between Lefkada Town and Agios Nikitas. The area is a fine example of traditional architecture with lovely stone-built houses and tiled roofs with special details such as yellowish roof tiles. In recent years there has been a development of touristic facilities and establishment of new villas and holiday homes.
