Spaciously laid out over two floors, with many verandas and patios with pergolas and breathtaking views to the Ionian Sea – from Dias Island, Zakynthos, and the endless horizon, this exclusive villa guarantees an unforgettable stay. Elegant and modern, the decoration and architecture successfully combine minimalist contemporary elements with traditional Kefalonian details. The villa has its own private entrance and parking area, private 10 x 5 pool, sun terraces, lounger’s and parasols and stands on its own stunning grounds, not sharing any facility.

Villa Uranos in Kefalonia comprises 2 floors with 3 double bedrooms capable of accommodating 2-6 people and 3 luxury bathrooms. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. The ground floor offers a bedroom (2 x single beds) with a bathroom, a living/ dining room with satellite TV, DVD. The fitted kitchen with hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker benefits access to the veranda. All openings lead directly to the fully landscaped garden and the pool. The stairs take you to the upper floor which comprises two more double rooms (one master bedroom and double bedroom) both ensuite. The large master bedroom windows offer stunning sea views. The villa is intended for private use for 2- 6 people.

About the Location

Greece, Kefalonia

Spartia is a small village located in Livathos, in southern Kefalonia and displays a great maritime tradition. Beautiful houses, landscaped courtyards and streets look like maze compose the village. Spartia is believed to have existed for over 1000 years. In the past, the architecture of Spartia was precautionary for fear of pirates and the houses were small, with high walls and narrow windows. The labyrinthine alleys add to this purpose and are from the few relics of the past since everything else was destroyed by the 1953 earthquake. There are very few pre-earthquake buildings, as the 15th-century bell tower of St. George. The beach of the village is Klimatsias and is very close to Spartia. It is small and not organized but has crystalline waters and a stunning natural environment.

Kefalonia is the largest island of the Ionian group, located between Lefkada and Zante. Due to the size of the island Kefalonia never gets too crowded or too noisy, not even in high season and this makes it ideal for family holidays. Famous for the exotic aquamarine color beaches, including Myrtos, Antisamos, Lourdas and Skala, the island has gained popularity as the filming scenery of the Hollywood movie Captain Corelli's Mandolin.

The Ionian Islands are located on the western side of Greece and are historically and culturally strongly connected to Italy with many evident elements of this. The architecture of the capital towns, including Corfu Town, Zakynthos Town and Argostoli, resembles a lot to the Venetian style as these islands were occupied by the Venetians in the medieval times. Another striking characteristic of Ionian Greece is the lush green nature and the aquamarine beaches with white soft sand. Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Lefkada are the most popular holiday islands. The Ionian islands also embrace an amazing music and dance tradition.

Lovely!!!

Lovely clean Villa. Good size pool, patio and garden. Very modern and well maintained. Is off the beaten track, which during these days was perfect, but it would be nice to be able to walk to the shops and restaurants, but they are a car journey away. Amazing rocky beach at the bottom of the road, with the most amazing tourquise water. I’d be happy to return. Rental of a car is essential.

We’ve had an amazing time at Villa Uranos. The place looks as great as the pictures on the site. Elina was the perfect host, with wonderful tips for dinner, things to do and great beaches. We miss it already. We will definitely be back! And spend more time in Kefalonia and in the villa. Thanks for the wonderful time you created for us.

Completely, totally wonderful.

There are some holidays that you know, you really know, you'll remember for the rest of your life. Our stay in Uranos was one of them.

I really can't put into words just how wonderful this villa is, and I'm sat here now, a month after we stayed, trying to pin down any things that we found negative about the place and I just can't think of a single one.

It's located within a private enclave of similar villas, all of which are perfectly secluded. All of the villas around ours were occupied fully for the length of our stay and we didn't see a single other person, just the sounds of families clearly having as much fun as we do.

Uranos is blessed with being so beautiful and is set in such a gorgeous part of the island that it's basics are already perfect, so it's the little things that make these sort of places so perfect. Little things like a welcome pack of food / drink in the fridge when you arrive, or dishwasher tablets and charcoal already in place, or pool lights that come on automatically at night, or the covered car parking - these little touches.

The rooms were perfect - absolutely spotlessly cleaned prior to arrival (and redone every couple of days), all of them are en-suite. Individually controllable A/C units for every room mean you can set the temperature to whatever you want, wherever you want.

Realistically though, it's outside where Uranos is so perfect. The garden area is huge, and offers unobstructed views over to Zakynthos - the only placements in the lush green grass are the 2 palm trees (which are perfect for napping under, me and my daughter found) or the sunken vases filled with flowers. The pool, which has steps into it rather than ladders, was glorious and oh so warm in the late afternoon when the sun had been on it all day. There's an outdoor dining area under a shaded canopy which we ate at for every meal we were in the villa for. There's no white plastic garden furniture in site - a whicker corner sofa is light enough to be moved around, but sturdy enough for all of you to sit on at night on the comfy cushions it has.

The local area is very quiet indeed. The complex has a restaurant and bar 500m or so away, but we never went. A tortuously twisty and steep road leads down the the nearest beach, which is a rock prominence surrounded by stunning azure waters and with several permanent sun shades driven into the rock. Perfect for snorkelling.

Nearby Spartia has a couple of mini-markets, a restaurant and a cute little church. It's lovely at night when all the older local residents of the village come out to sit in the main square and chat well into the night.

Kefalonia itself is a stunning island. The only place in Greece we've returned to, and we've been all over the place.

The owners of Uranos should be complemented on creating heaven. We'd do anything to go back some day.

Felt like I had a proper long holiday instead of the few days we were there. In one word fantastic.

The villa is exactly as described

The villa is exactly as described, very clean and comfortable with beautiful views, it is well equipped and I have no issues recommending it to others. There are a number of small beaches and coves nearby and it extremely peaceful. You will definitely need a car to travel around to shops and to see the sights, but driving around Kefalonia is surprisingly easy (just watch out for the roundabouts as coming from the UK the rules are slightly different) Kefalonia is a beautiful island and there is a lot to see, the people are friendly and the sunshine is great!

We loved it!

Villa Uranos was amazing. Elina was so helpful from start to finish, and we loved everything about the villa. It was really easy to find and lovely surrounding area. We all fell in love with it. The outside space was great and we made lots of use of the BBQ. All rooms were perfect as there was 6 adults staying. We wish we could be there every week! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
