Villa Nefeli, the fourth of the villas and set to one side opposite the other three, offers two bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 persons, in one twin bedded bedroom and one double bedroom both situated upstairs, a large bathroom with shower is also on this floor, the second bathroom with shower is located on the ground floor. The downstairs area of the villa Nefeli has an open plan style which includes the lounge, dining area, and kitchen, this leads out to the terrace with a private pool. An outside dining area and BBQ are also included in the private established gardens which surround the villa.
Fully equipped as would be expected with oven and hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine. The lounge offers a comfortable area in which to relax in with satellite TV, DVD, and Wi-Fi access. Mosquito screens on all windows and doors along with an air conditioning/heating system only add to the overall comfort of the villa. Surrounded by greenery and only 50m from the beach this is the ideal location to enjoy total peace, quiet, and relaxation.
Karavomilos is a picturesque fishing village 1km west of the harbor of Sami. It is a pole of attraction for visitors, as very close to it, are some of the most famous natural sights in Kefalonia; the cave of Drogarates and the lake of Melissani. The impressive cave of Drogarati with rare stalagmites and stalactites is a must-see. With an acoustic similar to this of ancient theaters, it can easily host a concert. Visitors can combine Drogati with a visit to the underground lake of Melissani, a really magnificent sight you can explore by boat. Another characteristic image of the area is the traditional water mill on the edge of the beach Karavomilos. Just outside of Karavomilos, Old Vlachata village hosts one of the most important contemporary music festivals, the “saristra festival”, held in the homonymous square of the village.
Sami is a beautiful coastal town located 24km east of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. Sami is the second largest port of the island after Argostoli and it serves daily trips to Patra, Ithaca and Italy. It boasts a delightful waterfront with all modern amenities such as shops and lovely cafes and displays wide paved streets for long strolls and exquisite Venetian architecture adding a special charm and reflecting the rich heritage of the island. Sami is embraced by a breathtaking landscape of verdurous imposing hills and stunning coves. It hosts some of the most interesting monasteries and sights in Kefalonia such as the monastery of Agrilia, as well as famous caves of Dragati and Karavomylos and some stunning underground lakes like the one at Melissani and Antisamos beach. During summer, Sami is very active culturally with a lot of festivals and performances.
Kefalonia is the largest island of the Ionian group, located between Lefkada and Zante. Due to the size of the island Kefalonia never gets too crowded or too noisy, not even in high season and this makes it ideal for family holidays. Famous for the exotic aquamarine color beaches, including Myrtos, Antisamos, Lourdas and Skala, the island has gained popularity as the filming scenery of the Hollywood movie Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
The Ionian Islands are located on the western side of Greece and are historically and culturally strongly connected to Italy with many evident elements of this. The architecture of the capital towns, including Corfu Town, Zakynthos Town and Argostoli, resembles a lot to the Venetian style as these islands were occupied by the Venetians in the medieval times. Another striking characteristic of Ionian Greece is the lush green nature and the aquamarine beaches with white soft sand. We booked a villa during Covid-19 as we thought that being somewhere on our own would be the best way to have the time to "come up for air" as we both worked all the way through lockdown here in UK and will do so now until Christmas.
We made the best choice ever.
Eli is amazing, so warm, friendly and that smile just lights up the room, she really is a lovely soul who will do anything to help you, suggest restaurants and just make things simple for your relaxing time away.
The sheets and towels were constantly being changed, I have never stayed anywhere where you get so many fresh towels.
There is a welcome pack on our arrival as we didn't land until late in the evening. This was cheese, ham, bread, fruit, bottled water, biscuits, fresh eggs, jam, lots of other things and a lovely bottle of wine too.
The location suited us fine, we would walk from the villa into Sami to the end of the port for a beer, this justified the "pit stop".
The very first morning that we walked down the driveway and turned left we were both gobsmacked............the view is just stunning and we didn't expect it as we arrived in the dark.
I won't spoil things anymore for you but I have to say that we had the most amazing holiday ever.

You are really only 100 steps from the beech. My family are runners so the location is great for running around the bay at sunrise, dipping in the calm waters to cool off and back for breakfast ready for the day.
Our fourth time in Kefalonia and we stayed in Villa Nefeli for the second week of a two week holiday. Peaceful location, but just a pleasant short walk along the sea shore to Sami with its many bars and restaurants. The villa is wonderful with a great pool and outdoor space. Elli, the owner, is very friendly, pleasant, and helpful and the welcome pack was outstanding.
We stayed in Villa Nefelli and we loved every moment. Such a well-equipped villa in such a tranquil setting loved watching the sheep and looking at the mountains whilst lazing around the pool which was a perfect temperature and so well maintained. the villa has everything you could wish for and more. Elli was so lovely and helpful, unobtrusive but always on hand if we needed advice on which amazing beach to visit or when we locked ourselves out :) ( fabulous welcome pack too) The villas are so close to Sami and it is such a lovely walk to choose which taverna to eat in and every meal we had was delicious. We cannot recommend Sami beach Villas enough and cannot wait to return

The villa was everything needed, its own pool - well maintained and clean. The villa itself was clean with all required facilities - wifi could be stronger but didnt really bother us.
The owner was on hand if required.
