The traditional Kefalonia Angels Pool Villa is the continuation of a stone house built more than 100 years ago at exactly the same point and shattered with the earthquakes of 1953. The new owners took over and rebuilt the KAPV just on the foundations of the previous house, again with similar stone, taking into account all modern security regulations, turning it into a truly ideal vacation home in the hills of the hill of the Visiting Venetian Castle St. Georges Tariff which was the first capital of Kefalonia. It is characteristic that the stone floor of the ground floor has survived and has remained as it was in the first construction of the house! KAPV is now a traditional villa equipped with all the modern comforts so that guests can enjoy their stay. KAPV is only a short distance from Argostoli and has magnificent beaches that will fascinate you!
The area is called "The Quarter of the Angels", where the villa was named. A few meters below, there is the church of Agios Nikolaos that dates from the 16th century and was restored by the same owners, while within a few minutes walk you can find yourself in the Castle of St. George and admire part of the island from above!
Kastro is a quiet town, located on a hill above the valley of Livathos and leads up to a 16th-century Venetian fortress, visible from the capital of Argostoli. Kastro displays small traditional houses, old yet well preserved. The area around the Castle includes impressive remains of pre-earthquake times such as that of the medieval church of Evangelistria built-in 1420. Also worth visiting are the remains of the church of St. Theodori, southwest of the castle, that may be even older than the church of Evangelistria. Kastro boasts wonderful views of the surrounding countryside; panoramic views of Argostoli, of the monastery of Saint Andreas, lovely views of Mount Ainos and coastal views in the south.
Kefalonia is the largest island of the Ionian group, located between Lefkada and Zante. Due to the size of the island Kefalonia never gets too crowded or too noisy, not even in high season and this makes it ideal for family holidays.
