The coastal village of Agios Pavlos is located 58km south of the city of Rethymnon, and 50 km west of Agia Galini, and is very close to Cape Melissa. It can be accessed with a short drive from the village of Sachtouria. It is a peaceful place that has avoided big crowds since it is well-hidden in a sheltered bay, ideal for those who seek a quiet holiday as well as for families. The bay is a true gem that includes a beautiful beach with emerald green waters and a magnificent rocky seabed. After a swim, you can enjoy fresh fish dishes in the nearby taverns. Above the beach, you can visit the small church of Saint Paul, who according to the legend lived here during his journey to Rome. Nearby you will find more idyllic beaches such as Akoumiani Gialia which is behind the western edge of Agios Pavlos bay and is considered one of the top beaches in Rethymno prefecture. Yet beware of the waves! It is accessible through a path that starts from Agios Pavlos and can be combined with Agios Pavlos for a day at the beach!

The villa was immaculate, very well equipped, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the evenings - enjoying a glass of wine by the pool while watching the sky change colors over the Mediterranean was pure magic.

The setting is simply breathtaking - waking up to uninterrupted sea views and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was unforgettable. The villa itself is beautifully designed, with a perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and simplicity.
We spent most of our time by the heated pool enjoying the incredible sunsets, which were even more spectacular than the photos. The location feels completely private and peaceful, yet we were still able to explore some amazing beaches and tavernas nearby.
If you're looking for a romantic escape or a place to completely disconnect and recharge, this is it. We left already planning our return.
