It is literally a hidden gem around the beauty and tranquility of a uniquely green landscape of olive trees and vineyards only 4 km away from the beach which lies in front of Kolymvari village.
Entering the villa on the ground floor there is a spacious open plan area which consisting of the living room with a fireplace and a satellite HDTV with Nintendo Wii, the indoor dinning area and a fully equipped kitchen of top quality fixtures and appliances. From the living room area there is direct access to the main veranda, the pool area and the garden. On the ground floor there is one bedroom with two single beds that can also be set up as one double and one bathroom with shower and a washing machine.
Reaching to the first floor (which is actually a big attic above the living room area) from the stairs, there is an open plan bedroom with double bed and an enclosure WC. This bedroom also contains an HDTV, air condition and a balcony with a small coffee table.
Outdoors there is a 500 square meters organised fenced area with many facilities and spots for relaxing, unique beautifully landscaped aromatic herbs, vegetable gardens and olive trees! More specifically in the outdoor area you will find a sitting area on the veranda, an organised barbecue with dining table, a 40 sq.m private swimming pool with sun beds and umbrellas, parking area for two cars and enough space covered with grass in order for children to play with safety.
Totally isolated but close to everything, our villa offers full privacy to our guests and a variety of facilities for the whole family.
Veni is a settlement in the touristic area of Platanias, in Chania and is a bit less than an hour’s drive from the airport and half an hour from the city center. Platanias Chania is a seaside village located 15 km west of Chania town and one of the largest tourist resorts in Crete. The village owns its name to the many plane trees scattered along the shore of the homonymous river. Platanias is where the heart of tourism beats and here you will find all amenities, big hotel complexes, beachfront clubs, bars, traditional and international cuisine and anything you can imagine. Villa Veni is a perfect stay for my small family with 2 small children. It is very secluded, which is what we wanted after 4 days in Athens, so we spent time at some gorgeous beaches located on the west side of the island and spend afternoons in the pool. It’s a great place to unwind and relax. As for the Villa it was equipped with everything we needed and was extremely clean and had a great look. The windows leading out to the pool were great and the upstairs loft was very popular with the kids.
Amazing villa and just as pictured. The villa was exceptionally well equipped with everything you might need for a vacation. The place was extremely clean, the furnishings were modern, it's in a quiet location, perfect for a week away.
We have just finished 10 days at Villa Veni with our 3 month old and loved it. On hot days we had the pool, bbq and terrace and cool days we had the cosy indoors, comfortable furnishing and well equipped kitchen. The local area had excellent sea front restaurants a 5 minute drive away, a lovely balance of traditional Greek food and fresh seafood too. There is so much we didn’t get to explore in the surrounding area but it’s a great location for beaches and hiking. The lovely family that hosted us were available on text at really short notice to recommend anything we needed. Oh and to top it off, our baby slept through the night for the first time in the peaceful surroundings!
