Georgioupolis Chania is located 37 km south east of Chania town. It is a long, sandy beach that stretches for over 9 kilometers. Although it is affected by the northern summer winds called meltemia, the beach is much frequented, especially its west side. The eastern side has some deserted spots if you prefer privacy and seclusion. In general, Georgioupolis is a well-organized beach, which apart from swimming and sunbathing, offers a wide range of sea sports and beach facilities. You can enjoy a refreshment drink at the beach bars or have a delicious meal in the seaside fish taverns. Georgioupolis is well-connected with regular buses to the nearby cities of Crete. Worth visiting is the nearby Lake Kournas which is the only freshwater lake in Crete.

Absolutely perfect! - The villa is stunning – spacious, surrounded by nature, and features a large pool and jacuzzi. We were a family of seven and had a wonderful stay. The four bedrooms were super comfortable, and the three bathrooms had constant hot water, which was amazing!
The location in Georgioupoli is ideal – peaceful and relaxing, yet only a 10-minute walk to the center and just a few minutes by car. The house is fully equipped and everything was in perfect condition. We didn’t miss a thing!
The hosts were incredibly welcoming – we were even greeted with a delicious homemade moussaka, which was such a lovely touch.
Special mention to the excellent service: every question was answered quickly and helpfully, always with a smile.

The hosts were incredibly good with communication, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The villa was immaculate and well equipped and it was so good having 3 bathrooms for our group. The pool was great and fantastic that it has a separate kids area. The hot tub was enjoyed by all as well. Lovely secluded garden that felt very safe and secure for the children. The only slight difficulty was the walk into town with very young children …. The pedestrian bridge will make a great difference when complete. Completely fine for mobile adults and nice to burn off a few calories. Only 10-15 minute flat walk and Georgioupolis is a lovely small town with everything you need and ideal for couples and families. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday…. We will come again!
The Villa is on the edge of the town of Georgioupolis just 12-15 minutes walk and a little further to the beach. This meant not needing to take the car every day.
It sits among olive groves with the backdrop of the hills/ mountains. The Villa has several areas to sit out and the bedrooms upstairs link to balconies to sit out on and enjoy the views.
Facilities within the Villa worked well and we used the gas barbecue too. Great to cool off in the pool, and it felt luxurious to have the jacuzzi.
The cleaner coming midway in our week was much appreciated as was the pool/ jacuzzi check. Easy to drive to the beach, lake and Rethymno and Chania. Public transport and taxis available in Georgioupolis. Excellent communication with owners of the Villa. We definitely will revisit.
Everything was perfect - the facilities, the spacious areas, the fully-equipped kitchen, and the pool and jacuzzi were amazing. We especially enjoyed the privacy and quiet.
A car is recommended as the location is secluded, but it's just a 3-minute drive to Georgioupoli, which was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend!
Villa was gorgeous,clean,comfortable. Pool was lovely.
We were 6 adults and a toddler and we loved the villa. The kitchen is well equipped and basic supplies were left for us including bread, snacks, oil, soaps etc. When we arrived one bedroom was missing a curtain but this was taken care of the next day. Although the kitchen/lounge area doesn't have an air conditioner, we asked for and received a fan. Also the air conditioner of the downstairs bedroom can be used to cool the area and anyway we sat outside most of the time. Bedrooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. The place was very clean and feels new. Although there is a shared drive with the neighbouring villa, you have complete quiet and privacy and we never heard or saw our neighbours. Cleaning service was kindly offered in the middle of the stay but we declined. The garden is big and surrounded by olive groves and you really feel you are in the countryside although it is literally a 7 minute walk to the charming village. You cannot beat the location – beautiful beaches, lots of tavernas and shops within walking distance. Try the old style bakery for hot bread and pies! Kalivaki beach was our favourite. This was our third visit to Crete and we loved this area. We made good use of the long washing line in the garden. The pool and jacuzzi made the stay perfect. We would definitely book this villa again.

We booked for our honeymoon and upon arrival we were given a guided tour of Stavroula and Konstantinos with local specialties. The house is perfect, between olive trees. The air conditioning and the pool were welcome below the 32 degrees of Crete. Half an hour east of Chania, Lake Kourna is a 5-minute drive away (very nice when you also want to swim in fresh water). We will definitely be back

The villa was perfect for the 5 of us that stayed. The beds were comfortable and the AC was great. The bathrooms were nice and clean and the outdoor pool area was great with comfortable loungers and a great view of the surrounding mountains/hills. Super close to Georgioupolis, around a 10 minute walk which had a great selection of restaurants, bars and the beach.
The hosts were also lovely and very welcoming, providing our groups with great recommendations for food and where to go which we certainly took up and loved!

The host provided us with food for the first few days. The accommodations are equipped with many things, which makes it unnecessary to take some things from home, such as beach towels, less clothes such as a washing machine are available for washing, music box, TV channels in different languages. We received help and advice about which tavernas are worth visiting or which beach is particularly nice. The location is very beautiful, surrounded by olive trees and magnificent mountains.
