Villa Aphrodite Chania is situated in a lovely green garden of 500 sq. It is a building of 250 sq. with two floors that can comfortably accommodate up to 8 persons. It has 4 bedrooms and each one of them has a private bathroom. You can cook in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen or relax in the comfortable living room. The villa also includes air conditioning, wireless internet, and a fireplace for the winter holidays. Villa Aphrodite’s pool is 50 sqm. and includes a Jacuzzi. The villa has a private pool surrounded by lush gardens where guests can relax on the sunbeds by the swimming pool and enjoy the sun and the warm weather. The villa is a little bit away from the magnificent sandy beach of Maleme, where you can spend the entire day enjoying the sun and sea, relaxing under the shade of your umbrella.
Maleme is a village approximately 16km west of Chania town, which combines history with a great peaceful sandy beach. Bear in mind that the coast is frequently affected by northern winds. Maleme beach resort has a lot of amenities from taverns with great fresh dishes to water sport opportunities for the more active crowds, like snorkeling, diving, and paragliding. Close to the beach, you will find a sunken German airplane to commemorate the battle between the Cretans and the Germans during the Second World War. In Maleme, you will find the very interesting German War Cemetery where German soldiers are buried, who died in Crete during the Second World War.

It is a crossroad of many civilizations that have left their trails on the island. We traveled two families together, a total of 4 adults and 4 children. The house was set to expectations and looks like in the listing photos. A big plus was that there were 4 large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms! Wonderful with a pool, which was used a lot! We were welcomed by the nice host who took care of the houses upon arrival and was shown around and who answered all the questions one might have. Cleaning every 3 days in the rooms and then new, clean bath towels were also provided. We used the outdoor grill a few times and it was great to be able to sit outside and enjoy the food. Inside there is a large toast iron which was very much used for breakfast. The beach is also not far away, a walk of maybe 5-6 min. Bus stop is right outside the Supermarket, this one we took many times into Platanias and Chania. The bus takes just under 10 min to Platanias and just under an hour to Chania. We really enjoyed the house and the location was OK for us, who wouldn't be staying in the middle of the noise. Having a pool alone without a lot of other guests (as in e.g. a hotel) was super lovely!
The house was perfect for a family with big kids and grandchildren as we all had large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool and the lovely house. The house is well equipped and had what we needed. It was lovely to be greeted with a basket of local specialties. We can highly recommend it to others. Really a great place.
