The living room has a 32’’ TV, a DVD player and a sound system. The space is dominated by wood, while the big engraved dining table gives a touch of aristocracy. The spacious fully equipped kitchen contains a large fridge, a fitted cooking unit, and a dishwasher, all state-of-the-art appliances. Next to the kitchen, there is a small laundry room. The villa has three bedrooms, one downstairs and two upstairs. All bedrooms have TV sets and wooden engraved furniture and offer an equally magical view, either of the mountains or the sea. Each floor has its own bathroom. Downstairs, the bathroom is equipped with a standing hydro-massage system, while upstairs you can enjoy a relaxing foam bath in the bathtub. The villa has autonomous central heating and air conditioners in all rooms.
Edem villa's, guests may visit the olive grove and vineyard and get to become familiar with the land’s natural beauty. Products by the estate, such as wine, olive oil, tsikoudia, including various seasonal vegetables are offered as complements of the villa throughout your stay.
Ramni is a village 29km from the city of Chania, located at an altitude of 400 meters and it belongs to the municipality of Apokoronas. It is surrounded by the White Mountains which give it stunning natural surroundings. In Ramni you will find a cave hosting inside it the church of St. Mamas. The residents of the village celebrate St. Mamas on 2 September. During that day and the day before, the hospitable locals offer treats to their family, relatives, friends, and to all strangers and visitors that happen to be there. At Ramni you will find some traditional cafes in the square of the village where visitors can enjoy their coffee or their raki (traditional Cretan drink) and taste traditional dishes and local delicacies.

Family run and very welcoming lovely people. Pool is perfect. The scenery is breathtaking.
The house was very clean and there is everything you need. All windows have mosquito protection. The garden is well maintained and the pool is fantastic. The children had a lot of fun in the pool and with the playground equipment in the garden. The owners were very friendly and spoiled us with many little surprises. Thanks for the warm hospitality! We would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the villa.
A superb location with great views over snow-clad mountains on one side and the sea on the other. The house was spotlessly clean with a well-equipped kitchen, three good size bedrooms, a large lounge, and two bathrooms It is very family-friendly, including a large grassed area with play equipment. Our host couldn't do enough for us (including meeting and greeting us on the main highway after midnight to help us find the location!), and indeed one of the highlights was receiving regular supplies of cakes and goodies from the host's mother. It has an excellent swimming pool that was actually heated and that made a difference at this time of year.
Lovely house in the village of Ramni in the foothills of the White Mountains. Absolutely fantastic views in all directions, mountains behind and Souda bay in front. Nice pool, a little bit cool at the start of May (although not cool enough to stop me from using it), and nice garden. Very entertaining watching the House Martins swooping over the pool to drink from it. About a 25 minute drive from Kalyves on the coast, which is where we went for grocery shopping. Road is quite wide and has a good surface, but is a mountain road so has plenty of hairpin bends and steep drops. Stilos is a bit nearer and has some cafes/restaurants (we didn't try them so can't comment on them). Ramni itself is picturesque but there aren't really any amenities there. Very warm welcome from the owners including samples of their own wine, Raki and persimmons. We really enjoyed our stay, mainly just relaxing at the house, taking in the views and visiting Aptera and Kalyves.

For the first time in years I can truly say that the photographs on the web sites do not do this amazing location justice. It is simply the best place we have ever stayed. If you want a relaxing quite isolated break, away from the noise and bustle of sea front locations, then this is a great choice. The villa is situated high above the village of Ramni and is accessed by steep and winding mountain roads, so a decent car is essential, but anyone who has driven in the English Lake District or Scottish Highlands will not find the roads challenging (for me they were one of the highlights of the holiday !). The villa is in its own fantastic grounds with a great pool area (1.75 M deep), and a wide combination of great sun spots and cool & relaxing shady balconies and verandas. There is a large children’s play area and a great BBQ. The house itself is well equipped with everything we needed, including a great kitchen, wifi and TV (kids needs a football fix from time to time) and aircon. Being at 1500 M altitude there was always a cooling breeze to be found if we go too hot, and the 360 Degree panoramic views of the White Mountains, surrounding villages and Souda bay where to die for. The nearest super/mini markets are 15-20 minutes away. There was a nice well stocked mini market in Agii Pantes (just before you cross the main highway on way to Vamos), and a large Inka Supermarket west end of Kalyves (Note NOT open on Sunday). The surrounding villages have many nice Tavernas including some in Armenoi, Stilos and Almyrida. There were many other places we did not visit, but plan to next year as we will be retuning (it was that good). The owners/hosts are a lovely family who went out of their way to make us welcome and keep the place immaculate and well maintained.
