Villa Gaia Santorini consists of two cave houses, set on an upper and lower level, connected with exterior stairs. It is rented as a whole and you use both levels with two terraces and an outdoor Jacuzzi plunge pool.
The upper level offers a smooth, cool sculpted interior with an easy flow from one living area to the next and a vista to knock your socks off. It consists of a light and spacious living room, dining area, and well-equipped kitchen. The master bedroom leading from the living area offers a cozy bedroom with Queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two mattresses pushed together as a double so we can put two sheets or put a double sheet to make a King, the bedroom is served with an en-suite bathroom. A private balcony provides the perfect outdoor area for enjoying the uninterrupted volcano view.
Enter the lower floor cave house - if you can take your eyes off the view that is! - which offers fresh white interiors with the continuous flow from living space to bedroom creating a quietly cool and friendly atmosphere. This vacation rental boasts a spacious double bedroom with a gorgeous en-suite bathroom with his and hers vanities. Ideally a villa for two, there is an additional sleeping room for extra guests on the banquette style couch, which is serviced by a second bathroom just off the lounge. For those who love to cook, the piece-de-resistance of this villa will most definitely be the kitchen - an uninterrupted Caldera view from your stovetop. A private sun-drenched terrace with soul-stirring views and an outdoor Jacuzzi – plunge pool complete the picture.

Imerovigli Santorini is a picturesque village north of Santorini, 2 km from the capital of Fira. The name of Imerovigli comes from the word vigla which means view spot. The position of the village provides a clear view of the caldera and makes it very attractive to tourists. Here you will find many taverns and cafes with stunning views to the caldera. In front of Imerovigli, there is a huge rock called Scaros. On top of it, there is a 13th-century castle which in the past housed all the administrative offices of the island. This part of the island though collapsed after a strong earthquake, and only the hill of Scaros remained. Imerovigli has numerous chapels and churches to display built on the rocks and overlooking the sea. The village is famed to be the ultimate romantic destination.

The setting couldn't have been better. Many good restaurants are a short walk away, and Fira is about 15 minutes away. The views of the Caldera were breathtaking, and the house had multiple levels from which to enjoy the daily sunset. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating, making our check-in and check-out procedures a breeze. I strongly recommend staying here!
You don't need to go anywhere else because you have one of the best views! It's enough to just stay there!
The house is spacious, and there are numerous places for people to congregate. The location is excellent in that there are restaurants and a store within a 3-minute walk, and a 20-minute walk will take you to a large city. There are numerous options within walking distance, and the house is located in the center of the island, allowing you to travel to any part of the island in a short taxi ride. Our host, was extremely helpful in arranging trips and transportation. She was available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The fact that the two apartments were in the same building was ideal for two couples. Cooling off in the small private pool. Evening drinks on the shaded terrace with a view we will never forget. The manager, was always available to book excursions and make dinner reservations. Staff were excellent.
