Imerovigli Santorini is a picturesque village north of Santorini, 2 km from the capital of Fira. The name of Imerovigli comes from the word vigla which means view spot. The position of the village provides a clear view of the caldera and makes it very attractive to tourists. Here you will find many taverns and cafes with stunning views to the caldera. In front of Imerovigli, there is a huge rock called Scaros. On top of it, there is a 13th-century castle which in the past housed all the administrative offices of the island. This part of the island though collapsed after a strong earthquake, and only the hill of Scaros remained. Imerovigli has numerous chapels and churches to display built on the rocks and overlooking the sea. The village is famed to be the ultimate romantic destination.

The location was private, but close to the road connecting Fira and Oia. We had the perfect host, in addition to the perfect villa and view. When we arrived, he and his staff greeted us and assisted us with our luggage. He answered all of our questions and also suggested some fantastic local restaurants and wines! We had the trip of a lifetime and made many wonderful memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
The hosts are fantastic. The facility was spotless, and the location was ideal. The service and attention to detail were excellent. I came with my four children and two guests. 8 in all. There is plenty of space and separate living areas.
The owner is extremely friendly. Fantastic views (including the sunset over the sea) from the terrace (and the jacuzzi!). Excellent location for exploring both Oia and Fyra to the north and south. Spacious and comfortable beds
There is no need to travel to Oia and sit among the crowds to watch the sunset from the villa. It's very spacious; we went with our daughters and had very comfortable beds. It is extremely clean; the cleaners come every day to thoroughly clean the villa and bring fresh towels. Nobody can see you from above or from the street if you use the jacuzzi on the terrace. It was a welcome benefit for both the children and the parents. Imerovigli is a lovely and peaceful village where you can watch the cruise ships pass by while remaining far enough away that the streets are not clogged with passengers.
